nintendo wii repair
my wii was over heating and the disk drive was no good, so i send it to Nintendo for repair
i was wondering would they send me a new wii or really repair it?
how long does it really take once it gets there to get repaired?
do they test the wii to see if there is any more problems?
is the service good?
did you send your wii in repair?
if so how did it go? rate it "0 being the worst and 10 being the best"
and any more answers about the repair service would be nice to know
thanks!

It depends i just sent mine in for repair and i am supposed to get it back today. SO ill let you know if i get a new one or not.
I sent mine the 31st of march and was supposed to get it back the 8th so yesterday i emailed them and asked nicely if they could speed it up, And they did". They even upgraded me to overnight shipping.
So it took just over a week.
I am assuming that they test it. i have heard from some people that when they got their wii's back they still didnt work so they just sent it back in again to get it repaired and Nintendo helped out.
AND JUST TO LET YOU KNOW NINTENDO IS[u] CUSTOMER SERVICE they were great and very helpful.
Ill give you my rating later as i will receive it tonight
also what was wrong with your console?

I sent my wii in for repair; just got it back. Nintendo replaced my wii with a remanufactured one, which is SOP for them, I think. I sent it in to be repaired because it would not play my ssbb disk. All other games I have played just fine. Apparently, the lens cleaning did not work, thus the replacement wii.
As far as rating the service, nintendo customer service is always friendly and helpful. As far as my so-called repair, I rate it an 8. I would have liked to know just why they decided to replace my origninal wii; plus, I can no longer edit any of my mii's. I will have to start from scratch or just chuck the whole mii making enterprise. No big deal, except I had 97 mii's.

I have always heard Nintendo has excellent customer service, so you'll be fine.
I think for those xbox 360s and the red rings of death, it can take well over a month to finally get yours back once sending it in (so a week is a great job by Nintendo).

whoa my repair
thanks all, sounds like they got good service,
but there's something that i don't get
in my Nintendo account on the 14th on my repairs,
it showed
received Date:
04/14/2008
Status:
depot received
Return Ship Via:
UPS
Return Ship Date:
Tracking #:
Component Description CONSOLE ASSY WHITE RVL
Notes:
Warranty yes
Amount $0.00
that's fine, but today it shows
Receive Date:
04/11/2008
Status:
History
Return Ship Via:
UPS
Return Ship Date:
04/14/2008
Tracking #:
*******
Component Description CONSOLE ASSY WHITE RVL
Notes: System serial number *******
Warranty Yes
Amount $0.00
notice there sending it back.
but in Status it says History, what does this mean?
and it still $0.00 i know its under Warranty,
but it isn't showing what i would have payed like it should
and notice the received dates are not the same,
in the first one it says they received on the 14th but in the newer one it says they received it on the 11th the real day it got there.
does that mean they did not fixed it and are sending it back, or that they are sending me a new one? i do not get it
thanks

history just states the processes or steps that your wii went through like the date they received it, fixed, and then shipped it out to be returned to you. it's funny you seem eager to pay them when others would not.lol well anyway, since your wii is still under warranty, you don't pay anything which is why it says $0.00. i think it was just an error in the data. the date they received your wii was on 4/11 while the date, 4/14, tells you when they shipped out your wii back to you. so you should be getting your wii back soon.
