i would change wii friend thing and have it like xbox 360

-Scrap multiple friend codes for a Gamertag or single code system.
-Put a hard drive in.
-Make it region-free.
-Up the number of VC games per week.
-Lower the prices of VC games.

Instead of 512MB tied to the machine, all memory would be via the SD card installed in one of 2 SD slots. That way, if you had to send out your Wii, all you had to do is remove the card and you get all your data.

It would also allow you to upgrade your primary memory to larger than what it came with.

I'd also make the nunchuk wireless.

Adding another thing to online, TrueSkill.

It sucks having to play with someone so much worse than you, bringing down the team, or against someone so much better than you. TrueSkill is a saving grace.

nothing, i would just add the ability to use flash drives and store data and VC games on it

Mario Kart Wii does have something like that (although it doesn't seem to work all that well).

I'm with you on that, also I'd prefer it to have DVD playback.

- a few gigs of internal memory
- a better processor
- a better GPU
- More RAM
- 720p support
- the ability to play mp3's in the new photo channel
- no FC's (don't hate them, but hey, while I'm at it might as well)
- I would get the dam EVC in the U.S. ,and U.K., etc.

With all that, you're basically asking for a whole next-generation console. You'll have to wait a long while.

You won't be seeing all that in a minor "Wii 2.0" update. Maybe more storage and DVD playback, but not the rest.

I mean why didn't they just use SD memory for the games? If a game manufacturer wanted to make some ridiculously large game (GTA IV comes to mind) for the Wii then they could do it.

The Wii does need more processing power only because it is discouraging some developers from going Wii.

Cost. SD memory is very expensive compared to the cost of pressing a DVD. Especially SD memory that can hold as much as a DVD (remember the cost of SD memory when the Wii came out).

More processing power = more-expensive console = fewer sales. The Wii is selling just fine, so it's the developers' fault if they aren't cashing in on its popularity. The market has spoken loud and clear that fun and affordability are more-important to more users than graphics power, so either developers get with the program and deliver what the market is asking for, or they suffer from their own mistakes.

Never fear that Nintendo's next-gen console after the Wii will be more-powerful than the Wii. Technology marches on, and the Wii was more-powerful than the Gamecube. But that won't be for some years and there isn't going to be a more-powerful Wii.

Why do you need more than 54Mbit 802.11G? You have an internet connection faster than 54Mbit?

I know, i know, i just wish they did all that in the first place.
