Okay, so I got one last year and I've been pretty disappointed. Why is the Wii consol lagging so far behind. I got it because we played it at my friends and I thought it was amazingly fun. But it just sucks single player, and I can't always find someone to play with. I have Medal of Honor Heroes 2, because I heard it was online. I LOVE online play, and the online play is weak.. No friends network or anything. I am going to get guitar hero 3 (is rock band coming for wii?) but I just haven't. Anyways.. MAINLY. Whats the deal, when is the Wii going to catch up. All the great games today are coming out for xbox and ps3. Is the Wii ever going to make a single player come back. Xbox with xbox live completely blow the wii out of the water right now. I just want to know if the wii will ever get that good. Maybe they should start making standard controllers too. I really don't know.

the wii really concentrated on family play/ party play so most of their games are based around that

they have a small portion of good single player games

and if they were to make standard controls it wouldn't really be what the wii is about ( to get up off ur lazy arse and enjoy yourself )

but i don't think the wii will ever live up to be as good in single player or online as much as the ps3 or xbox 360

1.) lag might be due to an HDTV
2.) MOHH2 does have a friend system, i think.
3.) RB is coming to wii
4.) Mkwii, Brawl, SMG, NMH, Bwii2, MP3, LOZ TP - all games that have excellent single player
5.) its called a classic controller

Wii is focusing on the casual crowd this time around, but it also caters to the other gamers like myself. I have enjoyed playing Super Mario Galaxy, Twilight Princess, Metroid Prime 3 Corruption, No More Heroes, Resident Evil Umbrella Chronicles and Brawl countless times. I am eagerly awaiting, Mario Kart, a new Zelda, StarFox, F-Zero, Pikmin 3 and Animal Crossing. Mario Kart has some impressive looking online components, and Animal Crossing is rumored to be a huge online game as well.

Not to mention the other games that haven't been mentioned too much or revealed yet that Nintendo and other developers have planned. If first person shooters or shooters in general and online play is what your looking for then get an Xbox. But in no way is the Wii lagging behind, at least not in the first party title regard. You just need to find the right game/series that suits your interest. And the controls only add to the fun, I really quite like those.

I didn't even touch my Wii before I got Brawl. But, that's unfair, because I also didn't bother to buy anything for it. Games owned: Wii Sports, Metroid Prime 3, Transformers(I got it for free, and sold it for free.), Brawl.

Metroid Prime 3 I didn't bother to complete, once it told me to go revisit everywhere to find batteries I just sold it.

Wii Sports I haven't touched since I first bought the console.

Transformers... if you buy it, cut your hands off with the disc.

Brawl: Worth everything the console lacks. I rarely play video games, and when I do, it's Brawl.

Mario Kart is one of the best games to hit wii it should entertain everyone
