Playing guitar hero... With only 3 fingers

Ever since I started playing guitar hero (back when gh3 first came out.) I never used my pinky. I did this way with easy (duh) medium and now I can play most songs on hard this way. Most of my friends who see me play this way are surprised that that it's even possible. So I'm just wondering if anybody else can do this or if I'm one of the few who can do it. Infact I'm actually better on medium and hard without using my pinky.

well when i play bass for real, i have a bit of trouble using my pinky because of course it is a weaker finger, but in guitar hero you only have to push buttons so i really don't have that problem.

I play with all four but I can see how three fingers could work, you'd have to really know which button is which like the back of your hand.

What do you think the bump on yellow is for?

I play with 4, never was hard with me, just had to train my pinky. It is still a little slower than the other fingers though.

I thought it was just there to annoy the hell outta me. Now that you mention it though it probably does help me a lot while playing like this.

I always use 4 fingers and it's easy. The only time I have an issue is when i do expert. My fingers don't want to jump as fast as my brain tells them to.

I get extremely confused when I try to use my pinky. I also only use three fingers. But I cannot make it through a hard song yet. I love the game though. I just got it, and when im done, I have dreams about it. Its haunting me.....

I'm disappointed.

Nah, but I've always played with 4 when I still actually played guitar hero.
I probably played GH3 the least out of all of them, even though it arguably has the best soundtrack.

All though ive never even tried guitar hero, and not sure if its even close to playing a real guitar..

On both Real bass & regular electric/acustic when i still played,
i played with 3 fingers..

I just couldnt trian my pinky that well, just good enough to get the occasional far cord, and thats about it... So i learned to use the 3 well
