Where Can I Get a Wii Fit?
So, it seems as though the Wii Fit is going to be just as difficult to come across as the Wii itself. I've gone to several stores today, thinking it would be easy to place one on hold, but they've sold out of pre-orders already! Same with EBGames online, and Amazon also doesn't appear to be selling them (at least not taking any pre-orders).
Has anybody seen a place to pre-order a Wii Fit, or are all places sold out?

I think Wal-Mart.com is still offering them....but who knows how much longer before they sell out, too.
Good luck!

Looks like it's now sold out on Walmart.com too.
ETA: Circuit City is offering Pre-orders as of 9AM EST.

I preordered at Toy R Us. They had a big stack of the tickets, but that was 3 or 4 weeks ago.

Save your money. Tried it out and it's actually pretty stupid IMO. Do people really think they're going to get in shape with a plastic board stepping on it for 20 minutes a day. I'm in the gym 4 days a week for an 1.5 hour each session and that's still not enough to be REALLY fit. I think people are going to buy it, have mild intererest in it for a few weeks and then it'll be collecting dust somewhere. Nintendo is notorious for putting out peripherals that never truly come to fruition. And if you look at it, how can they? The fact is if everyone doesn't own one, then you're cutting your profits by releasing ANYTHING that was built around using that said peripheral. Save your cash and go to the gym.

I'm guessing you stagger which exercises you do, in which case you are getting the near-perfect amount of workout, although of course everyone could be better.
I'm betting the board was based around the selfconcious and/or the housewives. Also, by making you work out, it is an incentive for parents to become involved/interested and not just view games/gamers as a lazy hobby. While it is true that real exercise is better, this is still good for keeping toned, and will most likely get a nod of approval from all parents if their kids actually want to play this for hours a day.

Well, obviously you must be doing something wrong, because BowFlex says you can do it 3 times a week for only 20 minutes a day.

Yeah, cause all those people with gym memberships use them. Save your cash and buy some dumbbells.
There are 10 games already in development for the Wii Board. Wii Ski is already available. There will be more games and people won't think the cost is that much compared to the fun (Guitar Hero / Rock Band ring a bell?). And if WiiFit is fun enough to get a kid off of his but for an hour or two a day, maybe it will encourage him to actually get outside and do real activities.

I called my local game store today and they sold the first shipment on preorders Don't assume you can get one just because you live in a small town, preorder now!

Target still has preorders, but you can't access it just by searching on their webpage. Lucky for you... I have the link! For whatever reason they're not advertising their preorder!

You're all very welcome!
