I've been on google for the past 2 hours, trying to find out which one of these cables to use on my Toshiba 27" flat tube, which does have the component inputs.

I know that component cable are much better than S-video cables on HDTV's, but I haven't been able to find if anything that is related to SDTV's. So my question is will there be much on a difference between S-video and Component for a SDTV (not 480p)?

480p (component) is better than 480i (S-video) and they are both SD. Check whether your SDTV supports 480p. My neighbor's TV does have component input but does not support 480p, so the component cable does not work (image shrink into 2 half screen).

If you have a digital or progressive scan television, the component cables supplying the 480p signal will be your best bet.

My SDTV has both s-video and component but maxes at (480i)

normal rca cables only perform at nstc level..

Not sure what s-video would do as ive never tried it & lack the info , but i know the component cables allow the full 480i view wich i saw a huge diffrence in clarity with only it being a sdtv...

Well your going to always do better with more information being sent. If you have componet ont he t.v. use it.

RCA= 1 video source "yellow RCA cable"
S-video= 2 video sources " 4 pin setup"
Componet=3 Video sources "red, green, blue RCA cables"

It is always best to feed it the most it will take. If the t.v. can handle 480p or not a larger, and stronger video signal will still make 480i look better. That goes for anything Audio/Video related.
