If i bought a wii in Canada would it be usable in the U.K. obvious issues I can think of are voltage differences and PAL NSTC issues.

The Wii is region-locked so you'd only be able to play US region games.

It's not worth the hassle for the saving you'd get.

You can bypass the region locking to an extent either by using a modded Wii, but that's technically "not allowed" (invalidates guarantee), or by using the freeloader disc, but in the past both these methods have been blocked by firmware updates (and don't think you can just not update - some games force you to update), so you'd constantly be looking for updates to enable your freeloader disc or whatever.

And you'd have to buy US wii games (they actually go cheap on ebay UK but the range of games is very small on there) so unless you could find a very cheap US game supplier that would be more hassle.
