I am a high school math teacher and would like to use a Wii in the classroom to make the course a little more fun. How could I make Algebra and Algebra II more fun and educational using a Wii?
Thanks

Big Brain Academy for the Wii? That's the only thing I could think of that would be remotely near Algebra.

You could make fun of the kids that don't have Wii by making an equation similar to:
Me + X = Fun *points at the Wii*
Can you guess what X stands for?!

on a more serious note if you could connect to the interwebz you could go to math sites on the net and they can point and click instead of just drag and click. other wise their isn't much you could possibly do bar look at the physiques of the controller and how a variant of motions make your character in super smash brothers brawl move. but im sleep deprived so i wouldnt listen to me.

Say if the class average is above a B+, the next Friday is a Wii day.
There's no actual math type GAMES for it. There may be on the internet, but I'm second-guessing the feasibility based on the fact that there's 1 pointer and 20 kids.

You could try being a decent teacher and not needing videogames to hold kids' interest?

leave it to you to say something like that.
anyway, you could scratch the wii and use the wiimotes to control the computer. if you have a computer with a projector. i did it for a presentation on bluetooth technology in my first quarter at college. just had 2 wiimotes(before i even had a wii) a 10 dollar bluetooth adapter and this software called glovepie and used the wiimotes to controll the computer. oh you'll also have to get like 4 infared LEDs and a protoboard to emulate the sensor bar(around 20 bucks for that) in order to use the pointer as a mouse.
good luck. PM me if you need any help, cause i'm sure this thread is just gonna fill up with helpless comments
