We just bought it yesterday and I have some questions:

I understand the controler take 2 AA batteries - if so why would you need a charging station unless they were NI-MH rechargeable batteries?

What games would you suggest for a 4 and 8 year old girl?

What are gsome good family games and where is the best plcae to shop for games? Do you suggest used one's or stay with only new?

Well you don't necessarily need a charging station, but buying rechargeable batteries may not be a bad idea depending on how many games you play and how often.

Best Buy, Futureshop, Gamestop , Walmart, Zellers, any store that sells video games is fine. New and used doesn't really matter, you get used games cheaper and they play just the same.

Anyways take a look in this thread for game suggestions, not all games may be for her but games based off movies etc. are good titles. Also going to a store, look for games with an E rating, those are titles she will be able to play and enjoy:
