I bought Soul Calibur 4 today, and my God it blows Brawl away. Vader is too sick. 
*Note: The following is all MY opinion, therefor if you have DIFFERING opinions, you don't need to flame. I want this thread open.
So, I wanted you guys to try to persuade me a few reasons why NOT to sell a Wii. Wiiware is garbage and VC is useless because of emulators and the like, so those cannot persuade me.

Yea, what does the girlfriend think? My gf would kill me if I got rid of the Wii!!!
Now if you were going to pawn it and you happened to have both WiiFit and MarioKart, then you could easily get your money back even though it is used.
Then since you hate the Wii, you can go post on a forum dedicated to it!

If the current line up of games does'nt interest you there might be something in the future that will make you regret selling the wii. The smart gamble is on keeping it.

I'm only keeping wii because of brawl, I must remark offline Brawl is endless hours of fun, of course if u dont have friends come over a lot, or cousins or anything, sell it lol.

What you forget is that the VC is legal and perfect emulation unlike roms which are illegal if you don't own the original cart and they can have terrible quality.

Nobody can really convince you to sell or keep it.
It's up to you.
Whatever the case, just make the decision that you'll not regret looking down the road. If anything, if you CAN keep the Wii, why not? Just sell the games that have little to no replay value (meaning, games you can't see yourself sitting down 6 months from now playing)

My girlfriend isn't the deciding vote, I have an N64 hooked up and I have more fun on it with her than with Wii. Brawl isn't as fun as Soul Calibur. I'm getting a nice deal for the Wii too.
Sorry, but that list of games doesn't interest me, and all iterations of those games on the PS3 just seem better.
Games I have:
Brawl
MarioKart
Blastworks
Super Mario Galaxy (Borrowed)
Games I've played:
Mario Strikers Charged
LoZ TP
Metroid Prime 3
Others that I can't remember.
The reason I want to sell it is because I don't see anything happening in the future for the Wii, and I can use the extra money to:
1) take my gf out to make up for it :P
2) buy extra PS3 things
3) school's soon so it's nice to have some extra money
I'm pretty tired of all the shovelware crap.

NONE of them? Out of that ENTIRE list of games covering many different genres? Are you serious?
If that's true, then I question why you would own any video game console at all. More likely you simply gave the list a quick-glance and are responding to the 1/10th of the list that you actually recognized, without actually looking into the others.

This proves my theory above, since many of those games are Wii-exclusives, so there IS no "PS3 iteration" of them.

Well no wonder. Get yourself some more games. SMG is good but is a play-through once game. The only game on that list with ever longevity is Mario Kart.

I did look at the list. Here I'll go through them individually.
Splitting into two posts.
Games out NOW:
Was terrible in my opinion.
Back tracking through the whole thing is not my thing, but this was a good game.

Played it on PS2.
Horrible game.
Terrible. Just because it's an FPS doesn't mean it's good.
At least this one looks semi-interesting, but then again, not my thing.
Good game, but I beat the game so many times on PS2 it would be pointless to have.
Boring on-rails shooter.
Looks ok, but the motion controls look pretty dumb.
Guitar Hero for Wii sucks because of no DLC.
Doesn't look very good.
I hate anything like GTA.
Kiddie.
Same as Scarface.

Fighting games on Wii is just fail (so far).
Quite possibly even worse than MoH2

Lol some of those games are multiplatform, any multiplatform is better on PS3 or XBOX 360, more storage, better graphics and more downloadable content, not gonna **** up and buy gh4 for wii like I did with GH3
