game1 was fun except for too many people bieng there but hey, what would you expect for people playing the wii for the first time!

I'm in Melbourne, and now it's just finished in Sydney. The line for the Wii was alright, but everything else was busy. The wii line wasn't too bad because there were 4 wii's and everyone just wanted to play Zelda, and when I was in the middle somewhere they called out for someone to play warioWare Inc, and noone volunteered, so I did and I played it. It was...fun.

Hey guys just found this forum randomly through google and thought i'd post I had been umming and aahing about whether to get a 360 or a wii for the last month then last week i finally decided i'd lay the cash down and get the Wii (i dont have a HDTV so i figured i wouldnt even benefit from the 360s graphics anyway)...

I've preordered at EB on elizabeth st in the city (Melbourne).. I paid in full hoping that somehow that would secure me a console tonight when i go to pick up.. i figure i'll go in at around 9pm.. they're going to start handing out tickets later in the night the guy told me..

I kind of got a scare when i realised that people in the US are *STILL* lining up at the crack of dawn weeks after the release date... hopefully it won't be that crazy here in ozland

so i'm gonna bring a good book or something along tonight and just camp out at the store for 3 or so hours.. does anyone know what EB's deal is with preorders? i thought that would guarantee me a game but the dude told me today that there were another 50 preorders yesterday alone.. so i'm expecting a lot of people there

also i'm getting an extra controller and some mini games or something (a bundle) i'm assuming it doesnt come with an extra 'chuck... how important is that i wonder.. i dont invisage much multiplayer except for maybe the wii sports games and stuff

That Minigame bundle is called Wii Play. I'd recommend getting a Nunchuck aswell, since, well, what good is a Wiimote without a Nunchuck?

Good luck with the launch though. Hopefully my EB doesn't have much of a queue. I'm getting there at 9:30 - 10:00. Not sure what to take. Maybe my GBA. Makes me kinda wish I had an up-to-date portable like DS or PSP. But I spose I'd never use them outside of camping for the Wii.

I just got the call
they told me that my NSF is not gonna be here for launch tomorrow, but ill still get it when it does arrive and because of this there gonna give me a free Carry bag and $400 woth of coupons. which is cool, its worth waiting a week for nfs if i get that instead.

Also he told me that because of these delays ( and he is saying the delays are the fault of the 3rd party developers not Nintendo). where only gonna have 3-4 tiltles on launch and the rest will come in over the next too weeks.

yeah, i got a DS when i was in the US mid last year... then swapped it for a PSP with some guy i met in new york.. and i've never used the bloody thing since i've stopped travelling.. should have kept the DS, there are tonnes of awesome fun games on it...

aaanyway, with the 'chuck... i dont understand why they're selling them seperately to the remote.. surely if they're both required they batch them together? i mean i guess they make more money selling them seperately but if theyre both integral it makes little sense to seperate them.. i guess it helps further down the track if one breaks so you dont have to replace both..

just got home i bought a wifi router now hopefully i got the right one (wifi has never been my specialty [its the only part of my comp course i didnt get an A in!]) well we will find out tomorro im so excited!!!
