2 years worth of saving. Had nothing else to spend it on, until the Wii. It's completely worth the money. It was actually about $1000 with the 2 year extended warranty.
hahah i have TP sitting in my room and my wii wrapped up under the chrissy tree. i'm glad i bought TP with my own money cause now i can just read the instruction booklet untill i open the wii on christmas. i will add all you guys on boxing day when all the updates are finished and i get 480p and my wireless up and running.

Ok I finally got the Wii after yesterday antics. Ok this is how my story goes. I ring up Toys R Us at like 10am and their line is busy. I keep doing it for like 10min and still busy. I decide I'll have a shower, which I did, and then ring again. After I got out of the shower I tried again. Finally got on and asked if they had any Nintendo Wii's in stock. They yes yes but only 4 more and they go fast. So off I went to ask my dad if I could go to the store. He said alright but while Im there I may aswel get the pool tested. He said we have to go their first though otherwise the water will go all funny and it will not be tested right. I agreed as this was the best deal I was going to get out of him. So as we where driving my heart was pounding whether or not I'd get one and whether some jerk guys would buy them. We finally get to "Poolmart" and get our water tested. She rants on how we need more salt in our pool. So we buy the salt and then I had to lift 2 50kg bags of salt into the car. Tough work, but I knew it would be worth it if I got the Wii. Ok so we are driving along everything going smoothly when dad misses the turn-off! He kept going on Leach Hwy but he should have turned off at Albuny Hwy. Heart starting to pound again as we had to do a couple of U turns to get on Albuny Hwy. Finally got on Albuny Hwy after 5 minutes and then we drive down the highway in search for Toys R Us. We spotted it but guess what, being a Highway most of the shops are streetlocked and you can only access the shops which are on your side of the street. So we had to make a couple of turns then we had to trace back to the shop. Finally we exited the car and I walked into the store. So many people going crazy, so I walked to the gaming section. Saw a big Wii sign and headed over there. I darted my head in seach for a Wii and YESS last one that is there! I picked up the box and looked around for Games/Extra Remote. Couldnt find any Went to the front counter and said do you have any games or wiimotes in stock? He said that they sold out yesterday. So I paid for the Wii and headed off with my head high!! That my friends, is how I got my Wii. I am planning to go to the store after a week and see if I can purchase Zelda and an extra Wiimote. Also I cannot play it today cause its my sisters 18th birthday and I promised my mum I wouldnt play it. So I'll have my Friend Code up here soon! (Tomorrow morning!)

Wow great story Icetrah my friend ended up with just the console to so don't fell to bad. On a different subject what are everyone favourite game so far it hard to tell what game because I haven't been playing one game more then the others but now I think Red Steel has some quality game play but bit disappointed by Rayman one player it better change soon from me in a Stadium over and over again well are your favourite guys and VC game have you downloaded?

i got mine from a dick smith in country victoria on the 8th, i swear i allways get the 'display' model whenever i buy anything from that store. Was there last one (or maybe the only one they ordered). They had 0 games or extras until next week. A trip to Target found me 2 games left in stock (literally 2) cars and zelda. Got zelda for $80, didn't check to see if they had consoles.
Here's the line that was at TRU at Aspley, QLD on wednesday night. 4th in line ftw. My friend was just tagging along not lining up to get a wii. The 3 people at the front only got 1 console.
I shopped round for ages, and eventually got a good deal. Big W were offering Wii with Wii Play and controller for free. Plus the Wii was $388, then i got a 5% discount. Then to Toys R Us for games, and to JB HiFi for an extra Nunchuck attachment (only cos no one else had em). Thankfully all shops were in the one shopping centre, and all that walking round made me more excited with anticipation... Anyways, trying to work out this Friend's Code thing, and hopefully can add some ppl later...
The longest line I was in was at JB and I was just buying Zelda, I went to TRU at 9:30 and only one person waiting. They took about 22 minutes anyway, cause the cashier was hopeless.
