Just came back from the shops, Chronicles in hand with two Zappers. Most fun multiplayer experience in a while, the Zappers work/feel fine, ignore what the haters say. Chronicles rocks two player, I can see single player being a LOT less fun though.
BTW, I traded in Red Steel as I was kinda broke at the time, and MOH just came out so I just went for that. Played a lote better, didnt seem quite as fun as I remembered Red Steel being.

Indeed it was me! Guitar Hero 3 review this week, fantastic stuff again Yahtzee! I have rewatched them all sooooo many times.

I might be getting RE:UC and the zapper for christmas, I'm just not sure yet, I gave the parentals a list and they were on it, we shall see what they choose!

And for some reason I'm not getting the e-mails saying people have replied here. But no matter, I can handle checking here myself.

Anyway, last night before I went to bed I launched a lengthy e-mail at one of my friends that ranted about the night I had and everything. So, when they decide to actually log in they are totally in for it. However I shall try and quickly recap what happened.

My family and I - including, Mum, Dad, Brother, Me, Dads Sister, Dads parents. And yes, it matters who the relatives belong too, otherwise I'd just call them Aunt and Grandparents. Anyhoo, we went out for dinner at the Bowling Club. Because whenever we go out to dinner with these people we ALWAYS have to go to a club, no matter how many times I request a change!

Anyhoo, they had Asian buffet dinner. Now, I hate buffet dinner. I've never EVER liked them. EVER. And the Asian food being served just looked horrid. Anyhoo, I said I really couldn't eat anything (Mum said she wouldn't have either). So, SOMEONE else requested we go to the RSL Club (Another Club!!!) Everyone was cool to go. We get down there, Dad's Sister decides she can't eat anything there and starts going off! Like fully going off - showing exactly why she was arrested for harrassment and assault a few months ago (or whatever exactly the arrest was). The worst part - Dad LET her. He didn't even say 'calm down' or whatever. He just let this 50+ woman scream and make a scene in PUBLIC. The woman also ripped into my Mum while she was at it. The woman then left.

Anyway, I left the table then - not wanting to be around Dad. Later I came back though. Silence. Someone commented on silence, and Dad started up again. He turned around and said 'F--king Jenna' and I didn't hear the rest, I wasn't hanging around to hear anymore of it, not after that introduction. I left my bag at the table, so I had to go back for it. When Dads Mother insulted Mum, saying something like 'This is all your fault. You are never happy with anything, you're just F--king jealous of us!' Mum had then had enough, and we both stormed home. It was about 2 and a bit km, and we ranted and raved all the way home. Oh, and for the last stretch we got rained on!

Dad come home later - angry, and started AGAIN! Me and Dad got into a screaming match. I was sitting on the lounge and he was standing over me saying 'you little b!tch' and things like that. Like I said before, the F word got thrown around a lot. I got told to get out of his 'f--king house'. Ah, all this crap.

He's just impossible to live with at the moment - he's ALWAYS cranky. Nothing is EVER good enough for him. NOTHING. He thinks my brother doesn't like his job and wants to quit - and he certainly doesn't want too. God knows where Dad even got that one from. He's always fighting with my other brother (he was smart and said he couldn't come!) And apparently I don't give him any affection! I don't give ANYONE affection! Does he think he's different or something?! And what the hell does he actually want me to do? Dad and I hardly ever fight - sure we have our times, but nothing ever like this. For instance I've never told my father to 'f--k off' before. It's never come to that. Put it this way, we generally always get along. Yet somehow I'm the little b!tch that is never kind and always has hated or something. So, anyway according to my father the disasterous night was ALL my fault. It was in noway his sisters fault for screaming at yelling, and effectively starting all the fighting. It was in no way HIS fault for continuing it, and generally being in a shit mood for the last week, and it was in NO WAY his mothers fault for what she said to my mother. No, of course not - MY FAULT.

Explain to me this - Dads Sister couldn't eat at the RSL. I couldn't eat at the Bowling Club. How is that different? Yet, I was expected to stay down the Bowlo (after the fact, of course) and eat nothing! Dads sister, however, no, she can storm home if she wants. And the thing is, there was plenty of the menu she could have eaten - because she's eaten there plenty of times before! She just didn't WANT to be there. She said as soon as she got there she'd had a bad day, and she wanted an early night. As we were leaving the Bowling Club - I told Mum she should have said she didn't want to eat their either, so it wasn't just me. But she said she'd had enough of getting blamed for stuff today, and it was my turn. Now, I really really wish she had said something. BTW - My brother and Dad hasn't actually LOOKED at the Asian buffet, had they looked they might have understood why I didn't want to eat anything.

Anyway, it doesn't matter. I am NEVER going out with ANY of them again. Ever.

... Well, I'll go out with MY Mother. Just not my grandparents, Dads sister, or Dad ever again.

Anyway, I am the only one home at the moment. So I'm alright now.

Gasp! Mine cost like $388! Hold on... No it didn't. I had 5% off! To a calculator.. Lets see if I remember how to do these things... $368? I fail at Maths thesedays. Anyway, I bought mine a few days after launch.

And yes, it was a horrible night. But Dads Sister actually came back after storming off. As it turns out. I dunno if she had anything to eat, but she came back. I hope they are all happy -- they completely ruined the night.

Well, Ekuishi: These things happen, maybe not every family, but at some degree. Believe me, maybe not to the extent of what you saw, but they do happen. I saw my best friends parents split up at his birthday party. 30 kids there, Hungry Jacks, and a huge fight. So I guess all this will cool down, eventually.

Maybe your Dad's going through a mid-life crisis? My Dad did, he got over it pretty soon.

Playing Wii isn't so good. Because he threw a tantrum about that too. I was playing Wii before we went out for dinner, and apparently I was meant to be ready to go. Apparently I was meant to use my psychic abilities to find out exactly WHEN we were going out. I was playing Wii while waiting for SOMEONE to come home that actually knew what was happening! And my god, it took me five minutes at the most to get ready! We weren't late or anything, it's just he threw a tantrum about it later. At the time he didn't even care!!

My family goes through these fights nearly every single time Dads parents come up! Last time it was the Chinese. Everyone was pigging out at dinner, and that was just an awful night too. But last night made THAT Chinese night look like nothing!

I just don't WANT to put up with Dads shit anymore. He throwns these tantrums and its like everyone is tip toeing around him, trying not to anger him. And it ALWAYS happens when his parents come up! He gets stressed out when they come. Why? Theres no reason too. But he does. He gets so easily stressed. He make things seem so much harder then they have to be.

That sounds like a midlife crisis to me too, luckily (?) my dad just kept quiet but wouldnt talk to anyone and was depressed 24/7. It was depressing. But Ms. Ekiushi, your situation sounds much worse. I hope everything gets better soon

I got the wii zapper today...meant to be a Chrissy pressie for my bro...but he's out atm so I've been playing and it's great! I'm not sure if I'm getting GH:III my mum said she couldn't find it anywhere. I'm not sure if that was just to make me more suprised or she was telling the truth. Yes, I have a 360. It was much better than the Wii for 2 weeks, but now the Wii Virtual Console has Pokemon Snap, so Wii wins. And Mario Galaxy which is the awesome.

Poor Ekiushi, my father also started getting into that situation of anger and crap. But we tackled the problem really early on so no one was hurt and all is well. Perhaps you should have a private discussion with your father about his anger management (its meant to be difficult).
