I'm probably going to sell Zelda, I only played it once and you only lose about $5 from non sealed, just say barely used. Or something. Or lie and say it came like that Just don't remove anything and don't scratch the disc.

Oh really? In Aust it's $100 less, but considering this...
Wii- $400
XBOX- the 360 and game and 2 controller bundle $500 or something like that.

in NZ the xbox 360 is $500 (just like wii) but you can get like 2 games and a controller for like $60. I hope the wiimotes get cheaper!!

Maybe they will, but eventually we should get 3rd party remotes which would be cheaper. And probaby less reliable...

Just a little thing from my search for component cables (i found some btw) I went to a couple of shops, some didn't have them some did but were out so I went into Harvey Norman and then relised wait Nintendo didn't allow them to sell any but then i heard the Zelda"TP opening theme... WTF so i go over and I see a small 34cm TV with it on it and then i turn around and there's maybe two of everything (Console, wiimote, nunchuck, game etc.) and I loook and they have a component cable box.

So I went up an asked if they had them and they said yes so I got my component cables from Harvey Norman who was supposedly not getting any Wii's or accessorys hmmmm.... the plot thinckens.

I've done some reaserch, and...
Quote:
December 15, 2006 - Nintendo has boasted that from its first moment on sale, Wii is making the company a profit - unlike the situation with Sony's PlayStation 3 and Microsoft's Xbox 360, which continue to lose their respective companies money, thanks to being sold under cost.

If the findings shown on Toyokeizai are to be believed, then Nintendo is making its Wii consoles at about US$158.30, or a AU$202, and selling them at a wholesale price of US$195.99, or AU$250. That appears to pave the way for quite a profit, although it doesn't include the bundled accessories.

An unknown group dissected a Wii to discover the market value of each of the system's components and concluded with the following:

• Graphics chip: US$29.60)
• CPU: US$13.00
• DRAM: US$7.80
• Optical disk drive: US$31.00
• Power supply: US$11.30
• Manufacturing cost: US$19.50
• Cost total: US$158.30
• Wholesale price: US$195.99

The final wholesale price may equal about $250 Australian dollars, but none of this factors in Nintendo's, presumably, massive Research & Development costs, its marketing, and logistical costs, such as performing a global launch and shipping systems on time.
So Nintendo is making much money from us homies from the...i dunno. I don't speak gangsta too well

The Wii is probably the most expensive console out there. Its only got 512 mb and it sells for 400. While the 360 has got like 60gig hasent it? And it sells for just a little 100 dollars more with 2 controllers and a game. The 360 is the cheapest console out there and is worth a buy.

Got one for the kids for Christmas
got the extra controller and numchuck without too much difficulty

Im going to hopefully be running it with my 100inch home theatre setup (component of course) ((the playstation 2 is already running great on it))
got to admit though after about an hr or so you start to feel a little sick due to the game being so big

hopefully there wont be any issues with the sensor and the big screen
