I haven't actually had a chance to play it much, I just tried online and it couldn't find a match (I tried it at 10pm though) but I did get into spectator mode on one which was 'interesting'

It connects to anyone I believe, so it'll just find the match with the best connection (the connection with the least lag) like Guitar Hero does on the 360
