Thanx all u guys for your warm welcome.... But im just afraid its not enough to cheer me up........
Ive been following the wii since i joined wiichat. Everyday ive been waiting for it. When they released the release date for it, my parents released the date of our overseas trip. I thought that by jan 6th there would be heaps of wii's left over. I was wrong I just rang up all the shops in Perth and not a single person had any wii's. I almost started crying........(*crying noises........) So in the end i have to wait for another batch to come! But there is still some hope. I called up some EB and they said that i can pre order as the new batch is coming this Thursday or Friday. I think ill go down and pre order. Its kinda a bugger though cause i only just found out that Garden City EB is now closed down?! So the nearest for me is Carousel. Anyway. I guess ill just have to be satisfied with my computer for the next couple of days.........

...I haven't got one. Or rather I did, but it broke. I got mine from Big W on 9th. It was a birthday present to myself. They had HEAPS then. So, three weeks later it broke. I took it back to Ballina Big W. They had none, so I just got the refund. The next saturday went up to Tweed City Big W... They had sold out. So now I just have Zelda sitting around doing nothing - I can't even buy more games because I havent the console, and I dunno when I'll be getting it either. Checking Lismore Big W this weekend.
I could go somewhere else, but I get a staff discount at Big W.. Its 5% off that I don't get at other places.
You should have sent it to nintendo I think they just send you a new one

From what I gathered from Nintendo's website, I was meant to take it back to the retailer. And plus, I'm still getting a new one. Whenever they decided to restock.
Oh ok In america it seems that just talking to nintendo is your best bet

Yeah. They even get like free postage and handling. Not me though. I just get a missing spot where the Wii used to go... *sigh* Well, I will get it soon. Big W gets stock in often enough...

Does the store you are price matching have to be local? or can it be anywhere in Australia or the state.
So I could rock up anywhere and say "I saw Madden 07 for the Wii for only $79.95 at Toys R Us in Chadstone, can you price match that biatch?"
The reason I need to but it from EB is because I have a gift voucher.
