no actually, its better than mac, and more compatible than windows
its better in its own right, there are 24 available iterations of linux. The ultimate customization.

EDIT: oh btw, You do know that spyware programs often say things are spyware that actually arent? I have had Some try to tell me that utorrent is spyware. So go figure
