Came out on the news this morning about a few things about the olympics:
Firstly the singing was mimed.
Second, All the fireworks didnt even happen. They had no fireworks and what was shown on tv was a recording of a past fireworks event.
Third, They couldnt even sell all the tickets for the opening ceremony so they had to hire people to fill in the seats.
Enjoy your crappy Communist and polluted country.
Btw, Go look on google earth, You can see the water around china is BLACK and green with pollution and algae caused by pollution. Not to mention you cant even see blue sky though the pollution. GG, gg

how come people are so negative against these games, i for one am enjoying some of the events, we should just leave the politics aside and focus on the main thing athletes are there to do....compete.

The people that paid for the tickets must have been annoyed that the people next to them were being paid to sit there.

Speaking of fireworks, was it just me or did one of the big fireworks look like someone let off a bomb in the stadium? It was huge. Too bad it wasn't even real. Damn them.

Now that is a silly accusation, the only fireworks that were faked are the ones that would have been too far away from the stadium and hence concealed by the fog (for example the footprints).

Again how is that possible, it has been a pretty popular event. Popular enough for a completely fake website to be able to rip off millions by selling fake tickets around the world. Pretty sad huh.

Yeah, People over did it, because there were fireworks when they were filing inside the stadium WITH THOUSANDS OF PEOPLE INSIDE! As they were showing the flame, you saw the crowd and the fireworks in the back ground...I heard last night the feet ones were fake, and fair enough...They saw it a danger to the helicopter that would be filming it.
And what I found very funny was that I saw channel 7, they said the girls was too young, channel 10 had buck teeth and channel 9 too fat...Hrmm...
Leave out the politics, Olympics=Sport, I don't see any politics in that equation.Argue later...And wait till the Athletics, you'll forget who's hosting the thing.

STILL can't believe they struggled to sell all the tickets. You hold a sports event in the most popluated country in the world, and it still struggles to sell out.... JEEZ

I know I wouldn't want to go to the Olympics - and not JUST because it's China. I wouldn't go to any Olympics, unless someone in the family was competing, and that's not likely to happen.
But as for it being China, well, NOTHING inspires me to visit China. The Olympics are meant to boost tourism aren't they? Nope, still don't want to visit.
Tourism... Terrorism. Very close words. I really should be careful with them.
