Neither does your spelling. And yes, Surfers is nice. Especially is you stay at one of the apartment blocks right above all the action, we stayed there for a week and a bit and it was awesome weather, beach was nice and so were the theme parks. Just don't go there at the end of the year...Like, November/December...Schoolies, everything is umpteen times more and you got dickheads everywhere.

That depends how long you'll be away and what time of year. If you're just staying a short time I'd probably go to the East Coast for a look at Melbourne and Sydney. If you want to have a longer stay I'd definately check out Perth and the rest of Western Australia or Queensland as well.

It depends.
I want to save a lot for the trip, but that's about all I know right now.
It wont be this year sadly.
When's the best time of year weatherwise to visit?

For Western Australia spring would be the best time [your Autumn] you get all the beautiful wild flowers through out the state. Kings Park is a great place to visit at that time of year.
It's also hot enough to check out some of our renowned beaches. If your in Perth I'd head over to Cottesloe Beach.
Trigg and City Beach are also good ones.
The weather in the South West is nice as well, and that would be definately be good to visit. Dunsborough and Margaret River especially.
Here's a good website to learn more about Western Australia: Explore Western Australia

Australias good all year round...
Never toooooo hot, and never that cold.
If you come in winter though on the East coast, you can still travel about 2hrs to get to AWESOME snowfields, and then 2hrs back, and itll be comfortable weather.
Our summers are hotter, but not THAT hot, and that pretty much leaves you with some great beaches, and whatever else you want to do.
DO NOT go to Northern Territory
DO NOT go to Tasmania
DO NOT go to Canberra
DO NOT go to the centre of Aus
TRY YOUR BEST to avoid South Australia
CONSIDER Western Australia
CONSIDER Queensland, especially Surfer's Paradise and Great Barrier Reef
DO come to Sydney
DO go to Melbourne

Around Christmas...and up to June. Gets too cold after that if you're loking for a nice and warm fun time.

Only thing is, i'm not a beach guy.
Born and raised in Kansas, the most landlocked state in the US, I've developed a fear of open water.
Tried surfing once in Florida.
I will never try it again. *is scared*
What about the East? I just need to decide a destination(s).

Yeah I think all the cities have lots of touristy stuff that doesn't involve beaches. [Though that is one of the big attractions in coming to Australia.] .

So I just need to decide on a city then, Eh?
Sydney sounds promising.
I'll do some research here after a bit. When this headache goes away.

Get back into your cave WA fishboy.
People are usually as nice as nice can be around Surfers as well, so that's always a plus...And meter maids are always fun
Sydney's good, simply because I'm here.

How does adelaide rock....
Sell me Adelaide in 10 points...
Lack of ppl or lack of places of interest are NOT selling points.
(there were ads up in Sydney a while back in the train stations.... "You'd be home by now if you lived in Adelaide"...great, so theres no people there, and everyone works close to home :P)

Adelaide probably isn't great for tourists. It's a great place to live, though.

I figure i'd avoid cities I have havnt heard much of like Rockhampton, Adalaide, and Gotham City, so Sydney and Melbourne are sounding really nice.
Anyone here live in Melbourne?
