my husband came in the other day & told me he had heard on the radio that nintendo were bringing out another gaming console  . he wasn't very specific about the details so i was wondering if anyone else had heard anything about this

it has an MP3 feature and a camera feature. basically its an iphone on heroine.

awww man i'm so dissapointed  do we really need another DS? i thought we were going to get an upgrade of the Wii with bigger memory more ports, HD or something

That would be a bit pointless seen as how the Wii's sales haven't even peaked yet, and it's still selling like proverbial hotcakes...

Its not just an upgraded DS. Its a new handheld system that plays its own games. like from Gameboy to Gameboy Advanced to Nintendo DS to Nintendo DSi.

Didn't IGN confirm with Cammie (it was someone at Nintendo anyway) that this coming Xmas period was going to be the highest selling period, even beating the PS2's previous records?

to be honest it doesn't really bother me i got my wii on release night 3rd in line so i have never really ever looked into it...

i heard on bbc that the 2nd generation wii is being developed unofficially called wiihd

but its mere speculation

I heard rumors about a Wii 2 coming out in 2010/2011. It's going to be HD, more memory storage either through a hard drive or usb. A lot of it's speculation right now but if your husband heard it on the radio he probably heard the speculation, radio stations do that a lot around here.
But for now the Wii's just going to enjoy sales for a few more years.
