I finally got mine!

Woke up at 5:30am, got to my closest Target at 6am. Saw people leaving. I went up to ask, they said that the employee came out and told them that they were only getting 1.

So I left and went to the 2nd closest Target, which was a Target Greatland. Got there around 6:05am, 1 guy waiting outside. Spoke to him, he was gonna get one for his son. Later I was hanging out around the employee entrance, and saw a few female workers inside. I knocked and asked about the Wii. The lady told me that they weren't getting any

I was confused, but didn't wanna take the risk of waiting and not getting one.

So I went to the 3rd closest Target. This one I'm sure they'll have it, because on Friday I went to ask, and they told me they'll get some on Sunday. I got there around 6:20am, already about 20 some people in front. The first few looked like they camped out overnight.

Waited until around 7am, some security old man came out and told us to get in a straight line, because the manager is coming out soon. Around 7:10am, 5 Target employees came out, with some stuffs in their hands. I heard people saying they had 46, and then it sounded like they had 4 or 6, it scared the heck out of me.

The manager lady started to go down the line, passing out her business card with a number on the back. There were a group of kids, about 5 or 6 people, and I was hoping for them to just get 1 as a group. Turned out they got 2. No big deal. My brother and I each got 1, numbered 21 and 22, and they had a total of 27.

What a relief. We left to get gas for my car, breakfast at Jack in the Box, and then came back around 7:55am. 8am comes, the door opens, and everyone walked to the video games department, where we went up to the register 1 by 1 to get the Wii. No wiimotes, no nunchucks in stock. Plenty of WarioWare, but I already bought that on Friday. Plus I got 3 Wiimotes at home waiting already, no problem!

Anyways, it's firmware updating now. Good luck people who haven't gotten one yet.

Got our Wii today! Yesterday I made my weekly pilgrimage to Best Buy, where the kid told me they actually had some in stock, but they were waiting to sell them on Sunday after the newspaper supplements came out. So my son and I headed to Best Buy at 6:45 in the cold and constant rain. No one else showed up until 7:15. By the time the store opened at 11:10 (not 11!), there were probably 50 people in line. Most showed up around 9 a.m.

I picked up the Wii from the center aisle and headed to the accessories area to get an additional controller and nunchuck. Immediately headed back to the checkout area - all of the Wii's (35) were gone.

We set it up easily, except for the wi-fi, which is more off than on , and are enjoying Zelda as I type!

Waited 2 hours in line at GameStop, but finally got it..

Now I can finally say I have all the Nintendo Consoles..

Finally got one today at Target. they had TONS. it was such an awesome feeling hearing the guy say "go down that way into target, they have plenty of wiis"

yep, then i got in line. and got a ticket, waited for 10 minutes. and got one. it was setup so nicely, they were letting 5 tickets at a time and sometimes 10. i found it funny how i got there at 745 and got one, and a guy got there at 2 AM lol..

but yeah. wiihunt is OVER!!! i played zelda for about 8 hours today. amazing game.

Gosh I should of went earlier. Went at nine. I was too late.

I still don't have one. My mom went to Target around 6:45 am. She was the 11th person in line. She then heard that ther have already passed out the tickets, and there was only nine. She then headed to Walmart, which only had 3, and no luck.

I got my wii today at circuit city. I went on bestbuy's site and it said they opened at 11, so i go at 10:45 and guess what, it opened at 10. so i ask them and they said they sold the last wii and i head off to circuit city. its around 11 and they say they have 4 left but people reserved them with vouchers. its down to 1 wii at about 11:15 and this guy comes in with the voucher and offeres it to me. he said he'll sell it for 20 bucks so i say ok sure y not? then the manager comes and says u cant sell ur voucher, and he tells him u lost ur chance to get ur wii. he turns to me and says now u have it! i guess its my lucky day today

Got 2 today, I got to circut city with a coupon that I printed off the internet ($40 off)and only waited 10 min, before the maneger came out and handed us our coupons. It was still just over two hours till they opened since it was around 7:45. Went to Best Buy and waited 30 min. when we got the word that Target was open and had about 20 or 25 wii's and so we went there and bought one. Sat there for a while killing time and watching all the people come in for wii's and leaving disappointed as me and my two friends sat there with three wii's. Then we sat in our warm cars and when Circut City opened up me and only one of the two friends went in and bought our second wiis of the morning. Then we went to Dennys whereI enjoyed a satisfying and delicious extreme grandslam for only $5.99. Then i went home and slept for about 6-7 hours. Had my g/f call her brother and see if he wanted to buy a Wii and he did so I got the other one off my hands. All in all a great day!

Got one at Target yesterday, 116 consoles were sold and I was #79 in line. After getting there at around 6:30am, I didn't seem optimistic that I'd be getting one, but the couple behind me in line kept a positive attitude, so that lifted my spirits a little and eventually I did get one.

Yay! I finally got my Wii Saturday night. They weren't supposed to sell them until the next day, but my awesome friend sold it to me that night

Well weren't you the lucky one. I definitely could've gotten a discount by getting it at nintendo but I was right there so I just got it Haha.

Finally got my Wii! It happened during our snowboarding trip up to Tahoe. My wife and I went up with two other couples. The Marriott Courtyard was just across the street from the Target and GameStop. Toys R US, Best Buys and Circuit City were also on the same street (South Virginia). We decided to head over to Target at 6:30am on the 21st and wait. There were about 10 other cars in the lot also waiting, but no one wanted to be the first one in line. That is until this older lady got in line around 6:40am. Crap! We all got out of our warm toasty cars and into line. There were about 30 of us. The Target employees were super nice, came out at 7:30 and handed out 30 of the 53 numbers. So we called our friends to see if they also wanted one. In the end we ended up with 6 consoles! So if you want a Wii in California, go to Reno for a ski/snowboard trip next time they have a sale! Glad to be out of this forum!

I got mine yesterday. Braved 6" of fresh snow to get to the Target store 25 miles away. Wasn't as bad as I thought, got there at about 7:45 (open @ 8) and was number 16 or of 27.

I was sore this morning

I got mine yesterday. My friend slept over, and we went to target at about 6:50. There were 24 people ahead of us. about 5 minutes after we showed up, people were arriving in droves!!! Eventually, there were about 55 people. The person behind me worked at target, and we talked. Apparently, someone offered $100 for target to call them if they got wii's. My friend was hogging my DS, so I was kinda bored. Then, at 7:30 the manager came out, and said we have 75 wii's!!!!!!! Everyone in the line cheered, as many other people had camped out and failed. At about 7:50, they let us into the store 5 at a time.

I would have posted this yesterday, but I was too busy with my wii. My friend, my sister, and dad all loved bowling. Now I just need to find some more controllers.... >.<

ahh man... the story of how i got my wii is really frustrating and long:

yeah, alright, it starts out at 7am... i wake up... knowing the night before that circuit city in yonkers had wiis. so i wake up my brother, scott, and we go
i have these mapquest directions
we get to circuit city
then as we start to pull in we see all these people getting out of their cars
because alot of ppl were there, but if you got out of your car, you were in the officail line
like, it was a commonly known rule
so were third in line
behind two teenagers and this fat middle aged man
freeeezing
the circuit city guys are all in front of the gates laughing at us
so finally
an hour later
they open up
so we get on the line
and the first guy goes to the register
we see 8 wiis behind the counter
all with numbers on them
so we were like wtf?
so the register lady goes "do you have the voucher?"
and he goes "what?"
and she was like "oh, if you didnt buy it from our special circuit city ad in january, you cant get a wii"
and then the whole line starts screaming
all these old people with their three year olds crying
and i went up and i was like, why are you being retarded, weve been waiting out there
they all just said it wasnt their problem
then all these ****ing kids start filing in with their slips, cutting ahead of us and taking the wiis right in our faces, because for some reason they 'deserved' it more
we all just left
really angered
and we get in the car, SO dissappointed
and my brother scott's like "wtf we do now?"
i was like, "scott, we go eb games."
so off we went
stopping at mcdonalds
i wanted to check out when eb games opened
so i called a friend, knowing she would be retarded enough to do me a favor
so she said it opened at 12 after a good 15 minutes of explaining to her how to figure it out
so we took our time
eating, sitting, making conversation
and off we go again
to port chester
so we ge there around 1115
and we plopped a seat outside
and then, about 20 minutes later we see a guy walking out of the store
and were like WHAT
so we go in
turns out, it opened at 11
so theres about six wiis and thirty people
and we were like, **** this
so we leave
and were incredibly dissappointed again
im even thinking im bad luck
and it wasnt meant to be
so right as were pulling up our driveway, a good 30 minutes later, i was like "hey, i know eb games in new rochelle said they wouldnt have any wiis, but like, maybe we should get the accessories so we dont have to get them later"
we head over
we go in
get in line, expecting to get some games
****ing this little fat girl cuts us
turns out, the store has wiis, and the little girl buys one
and the guy is like "you guys are lucky, you got the last one"
and me and scott look at eachother
and so we get up there and scott goes "so you really dont have any more?"
and theyre like nahh
and so, then, this guy pops his head out of the used games bin and goes "LOOK! THERES ONE MORE IN THAT BOX!" me and scott literally start screaming so we used my moms credit card to get SO much crap for it
so, thats our story
