I got my Wii on Friday. It was totally by accident too. We went to the mall to get something and just stopped by GameStop because it was on our way to the car and...they had Wiis! Whoo! 3 month search now OVER!

It's fun.

I went through hell to get mine. Getting up at 4:00 in the morning, in line by 4:30. 3 weekends in a row with no success. The last of those three weekends i noticed an orange tinge to my lips. So i went to hte doctor, and i had a superficial infection called erisipalis. SO one morning rite after i got diagnosed, i was at walmart picking something pu, and by chance iasked if they had any. Sure enough ,a shipment just came in. Nobody knew, and i got the first one. Payed for it striaght cash, right there. Didnt have to wait or anytihng, it was like 9:00 when i got it. this all happened about 2 weeks after it was released.

Hi everybody,

Saturday night, May 19, an ad for a new-in-the-box Wii showed up on craigslist. $310. Sunday morning, met the seller in a mall parking lot. Money changed hands and I am D-O-N-E!!

The seller made a fast $50 off of me. So what? I spent more than that in the past month driving around to look at empty shelves and listen to excuses. Not to mention the wasted lunch hours and wasted Sunday mornings.

HEY! Circuit City, Target, Toys'R'Us, EBGames, GameStop, Wal-Mart, Kmart...

Y'all are LAME!

I'll never buy anything from some of these stores again, just because of the way they handled (or didn't handle) the Wii situation.

Sunday afternoon I was struttin' around Circuit City like I owned the place, buyin' my Wii accessories and ignoring (for once) the fact that they had no Wii's for sale. And boy, did it feel good.

Stumbled onto mine at ebgames this weekend. Called them on a whim - never called a single place looking before, and they had one left. My biggest problem now is stopping buying games

Already got wii play, super paper mario, madden, smooth moves and godfather. . . I'm not even looking at the VC classic titles - I'll be homeless.

yeah, i got lucky too, i just called up GameStop to see if they had one, after giving up on one. Sure enough they had some so i bolted down there.

Nice! Ya done good. We're going to rent a few games at H'wood Video before we buy any. Haven't played video games in over 20 years, so we want to check out the merchandise before we throw down the bux. But I'm 99% sure that we're going to own Godfather before the week is out. Enjoy!

I got mine a while ago, am i to late to post?

Well, it was when i was getting new systems, I got the Wii, PS3 and 360. I have 2 Wii's, gave one to my sister, and 3 360's so i gave one to my friend and one to my sister. I only got one PS3 so im holding on to that. But i dont have a story about it being out of stock or waiting a few weeks, I just went to the store and got it. Have a few games but nothing to hold my intrest like Resident Evil on GC, which is what ive been using the Wii for.

I had been thinking about buying one and after having people wanting twice what they paid for one I said forget it I would get one later when they weren't so popular. Later that day me and the wife walked into a Toys r us to look at ps2 games and they had 2 wii's sitting on the shelf so I got one. It is alot of fun, plus it almost completes my nintendo collection. All I am missing is a game boy.

I got mine on May 5th (quite a while...). I was just walking around Best Buy when I saw a group of workers opening boxes. I thought, "What if those were Wiis?" and a guy pulled one out. Bam! I got the first one. They already sold out in 1 minute.

I just got a wii, I haven't actually "got" it but my Dad was in Delaware (I'm from New Jersey), so I checked a handful of stores near him and found a Gamestop with literally one left. After I called him up and told him to try and get it, it took about half an hour to get there since he had already left the office and started heading home, but somehow I was so lucky that the wii was still sitting on the shelf and he got it.

Feels so good that the hunt is over, it was hard, but much easier than I thought. I'm glad I wasn't forced to buy off eBay or get some gimmicky bundle. Unfortunately I have school tomorrow so I won't really get my hands on the Wii until tomorrow afternoon.

i FINALLY got mine today!! i've been calling my local targets, gamestops, toys r us', and best buys for the past 3 weeks! so i decided to call walmart this afternoon and low and behold, i brought home a wii!!

what games should i get first????

I just got mine a few days ago. Walked past my local EB games on my way to get lunch and noticed a guy bringing in 2 large boxes of stuff, so on my way back after eating I went to preorder Forza 2 for xbox360, and I casually asked if they had any Wii's, kinda as a joke. He ended up replying that they had 6 that just came in so I immediately bought one without thinking twice. Best $250 i've spent in a LONGGG time.

Got mine yesterday on the first day of looking!

Delaware is tax free, so I was carrying around the exact amount. My girlfriend and I crossed the Maryland border to check a WalMart and there it was.. about 10 dollars more than anticipated.

Hey everyone. I just picked mine up today. Heard that a local store was gonna get some in, so I arrived bright and early and was first in line.

So far I've injured my shoulder in baseball and punched my wife in boxing when she moved in front of me. heh.

Haven't tried out anything online yet because I can't get my wireless router working.
