I got my Wii off Amazon for the RRP and it arrived last Friday. I got it out of the box and checked to make sure it all worked and connected fine to my router and now it's all back in the box ready to be opened on Christmas day.

The extra wiimotes and nunchuks have been preordered off Amazon and will hopefully arrive before the big day!

My first post btw so hello to everyone!

I got my wii today and i love it. The only game i have so far is raw vs smackdown 2008 because my parents picked up the wii for me and got me this game. Next week i will pop to the game shop myself and buy myself some games and points

I'm so happy, its for christmas so im going to wait until Christmas Day to play it (man its gonna be hard) with that i also recieved.

Need for Speed - ProStreet
The Sims 2 - Castaway
Metroid Prime 3 - Corruption
WiiPlay (With the Wiimote)

and i've got ordered Guitar Hero 3 - Legends of Rock so when its comes in, no one else can buy it until i pick it up

Hi Guys.

I got lucky this morning.
I work at Kmart,and my Receiving manager is married to another Kmart's manager. So I went to the next town over and picked up a Wii. They were going to hold one for me,but nobody really showed so I bought the first Wii They had. Sucks I can't play it yet. =(

the longer you wait, the more fun it is when you finally open it up and play it.
(that's the story i'm sticking with because i have to wait till christmas to open mine. it's driving me insane! )

better late than never. I rented a wii to check it out in October. I knew after only a few minutes that I needed to get one. I spent many hours and made countless calls to all the local stores etc..

I found one, on a car club site I visit often and totally by chance.
I was selling car parts to this guy and mentioned that I was looking for one for xmas then he says that he has one left but should be getting more and if I can wait a week its a done deal. This was the end of November.

I picked it up Dec 8th and I'm lucky as the wife said hook it up we've waited long enough hook it up NOW!

Finally I found the Wii at Target!!! Whoo Hoo!!!!! I have been looking since October. So I get a phone call on Saturday night at 9:30 and a co-workers states that Target will have 72 on Sunday morning. Needless to say I am sick with a terrible cold and decide that at 4:30 AM I will brave the Wisconsin elements and go and try to get one for my 6 and 10 year old boys. I was number 5 in line at 5:00 AM and stood there for 3 hours until they opened and was one of the lucky people to get one. This is so much better than paying those rediculous prices on Amazon or Ebay! If worse came to worse my kids would of received a picture on one until they came in stock. This is so much better than a picture! I can harly wait to wrap it. The people in line were so much fun. It was about 5 degrees outside and it was kind of like tail gating at a Green Bay Packers game without the grill!

Good Luck to anyone that is still looking. It will be so worth seeing my kids faces on Christmas day. I think mother of the year is a nomination I can expect to receive from my kids! LOL

Got my Wii on the 16th, 27 of 95! Got to Best Buy at 5:15 And waited for 3 hours during a Blizzard. Heh, my hot chocolate froze in my thermos.

Got mine Sunday! It was my first attempt at getting a Wii and only decided to get one the night before. (probably will make many frustrated)

Got up around 7am and got there at 7:15 and was 42 in line and we got 51 Wiis in. Opened at 8am and was out the door by 8:30 with the Wii in tow. Had to wait until about midnight to open her up and use it because of church and actually having to work later that day. However, I've been quite impressed.

Walked into Target about 1pm. I had just bought a camera and for the most part gave up on getting a Wii. I stopped asking since I just kept getting laughed at. I overheard some guy trying to buy two of something and the cashier kept saying "not a chance". They wouldn't sell more than one to anyone with the same last name or credit card. He tried his best though. After hearing this discussion I thought he must be trying to get a Wii. So I hollered over to the cashier "You got a Wii?" She said "yup, two, got them in around noon"
"I'll take one!" Holy cow, how lucky. So there it is, no waiting in line, just dumb luck. I'll take that anyday. Now just have to wait till my wife opens it on Christmas. Man do I want to start playing. Thank goodness we have one at the Fire Station.
Anyway, good luck to anyone else looking and congrats to all that got one as well.

I got one yesterday. Walked in to Best Buy just as they got a whole pallet of them in. Pretty excited about it. I'm a fairly hardcore gamer and love my 360, but at least my fiance won't yell at me too much since she can play it too.

game stop employee: no this is just game restocking.

police officer: do you have any wiis?

gamestop employee: yes we just got some here you go.

police officer: thanks

next person i see just get handed a wii is going to come to an unexpected death.

I work at kmart and if you even touch the wiis they'll pretty much cut your hands off. The managers are the only ones allowed to know how many we have and they usually end up taking around half of them. The last release date we had 8.
