After a relatively short quest, I got my Wii this week. I had subscribed to all the Wii trackers I could find, and came close a few times to getting a Wii online (but was never quite fast enough to seal the deal before stock ran out). The online dry spell over the last couple of weeks was getting me frustrated. Ultimately, I got a Wii at the local Game Crazy store. I had taken to calling the local stores and asking if they had any Wii systems. They kept saying not until February, but I kept calling anyway. Persistence paid off when the clerk finally said they had some. I jumped in the car, drove to the store, and now my family is the proud owner of Wii. The icing on the cake is that Game Crazy gives you 12 free game rentals when you buy a system.

Hey hey first post  . Anyways I totally got lucky with my Wii. I didn't have to wait in a line or anything like that. I had no intentions on getting a wii until the craze died down a little bit. So the other day (friday) I was just messing around on Bestbuy.ca and said hell lets just check to see if they had any by chance. To my surprise they had 85 in stock so I totally jumped on that and got myself one. By the time I was done with the checkout they were all gone. Guess it was my lucky day. Can't wait till I get it in the mail.

Wow, 12 free rentals! Like they need to throw in any incentive to convince you to buy the Wii! Nice Find!

lol i bought mine just before christmas... no line..could get it right away! XD
i'm loving it... though it sucks that the prices for the games are pretty high... at first i didn't get my Wii connect 24 to work... but after browsing this wonderful forum i got the tips i needed coz the Wii site itself couldn't help me with my problem!
now i've gots to find myself some friends with Wii connections so i can play online! :P

yeah I got mine just before Christmas too, but I had to wait in line 4 hours to get it. About 10 people who showed up and waited didn't get one. When I walked out with mine they all had these aggravated looks on their faces lol.

Game Stop was the way to go!!! I called... they held one for me.. i picked it up.... and now WII are a Happy Family!!!....
My daughter and husband played all last night! loved making the little "Mii" people!! so cool!! Also bought the Wii Play game with the extra remote... nice score!!
My daughter can't wait to have her friends over.. Order the chips!!

I finally got a Wii! I did a lot of calling around to all the Gamestops in the Houston area this week. A bunch of them told me they expected to get a shipment in this week. Yesterday, I called around again and 1 of them (Willowbrook mall location) had 24 and the other (Galleria location) had an undisclosed amount. The Galleria was closest, so I got mine from there. If you are in the Houston area, you are probably in luck this week.

Woo-Hoo!!! I got my Wii today!!!! I actually work at an FYE that sells game systems and we haven't had any Wii's since right after Thanksgiving. I had to get this one transferred in from another state!!!
I am also new to the forum and I am sure I will have lots of questions!! LOL I love my Wii. I got the Endless Ocean game that just came out and love it too!!! Wonderful!!! Maybe I am just 80's, but Nintendo rules!!! HAHA!!

My husband surprises me with a wii yesterday! We have been looking for one since November and no luck. He was near Best Buy and thought he would check in again and they had one left! It was so much fun. He also got me DDR. We played for five hours after hooking it up.
