I finally got mine on thursday! I was phoning around in the morning as usual and Toys r Us said "yep, we've got 8!"
So I sped down there and picked up the first of 8..... so exciting!

Friday night I was driving home from Toronto too and decided to drop into a future shop off the QEW to see if I could pick up Guitar Hero III (which was almost harder to find than a Wii itself!) and they said they hadn't had any for months, so I checked out the Toys r Us next door just incase, and lo and behold I got the very last one!

Looks like Toys R Us is the way to go!

I am currently waiting for mine to arrive at my door, should be here any minute now!

I just got my Wii, won it in a sales contest with my job - it's VERY COOL.

I bought a used one today because I called every place in town and no one had any.

Went to my local Walmart, and they have 10 of them in! Since Last Wednesday!!!!!!! I guess no one sees them in the dark corner of the glass case.

I think I will pick up another one.

you just answered your own question. like you said it costs about a $100 more when people sell it on the internet so it's no wonder many are buying it off the stores to sell it online. i think it's sad really because people who really want a wii have a hard time finding one and then because of desperation they end up spending more than they should.

Just got my Wii Teusday. Been having a blast playing Tennis and Bowling with my wife. Her younger brother has had one for a while and let us borrow Zelda, SMG, SSBB to start off with as well. \o/

Looks like everyone is finding a Wii and loving it. I haven't played mine all week and I have to try my pinball haven't tried it yet. I also love Bowlign and did Tennis last week and loved it. I had trouble batting on baseball but I did pretty good on Tennis loved it. It was the 1st time I had played it I usually play Tennis and Carnival Games is a lot of fun too. Oh and Game Party I got through several games and need to finish Pool to get to the next game and I suck at pool. LOL!! I love the Wii

Judging from the Wii's I've seen in the locked display cases this week, I'd venture that it's getting easier to find them. I was in 2 Wal-Marts and 1 Target this week, and between those 3 stores, I saw 10 Wii's in the locked cases - 3 at Target, 3 at 1 Wal-Mart, and 4 at the other Wal-Mart. I was in Target right after opening, so those might have disappeared soon after I'd left, but I was the Wal-Marts later in the day. The Wal-Marts here have been getting their Wii's on Tuesday mornings...I was in 1 Wal-Mart on Wednesday, the other on Thursday.

Other than when I bought our Wii, I've never seen Wii's just sitting in the locked cases...every time I've been around when Wii's come in, they never make it to the cases. I've been buying Wii's for other friends and family in the past couple of months, so usually when I've seen Wii's, I've ended up buying one. It was weird to see them this week and not be buying one!

It is easier to find them at walmart than it is at Gamestop. I went to Walmart where I got mine then the next day I went to get something and then they only had 1 left.

exactly. I have had my wii for 2 monthes now and the same thing happened to me. I called like 5 places one morning and finally gamespot had 9 in. Too bad it was 30 min away. Sooooo, we hurried up to the game spot and as we were walking in the last one was being sold. the guy who bought it said "hope you guys aren't looking for a wii 'cause I just bought the last one. but you can visit my ebay page and buy it for $450. its not a big jump from $250" then he left. okay,dude. your a jerk !!!! As 'mr I got a wii and u dont' was making his speech the guy behind the counter, mark, was kinda giving us the sign to hold on for a sec. he was holding the tenth wii for an employee. he kinda wispered to us that we could buy it, so we did.

what a nice guy. i mean he might get a demotion for that, okay maybe not. But still, he is the best gamespot employee that I have ever seen.

I think that is mean and not right. I know people want to make money and people are buying them but to bump someone out of buying one that really wants one for themselves only to make a 100 bucksor more isn't right. But I know it's being done but I think it's not right. So many kids and other people want one only to not be able to get one.
