I got a wii in Feburary this year for my birthday. I bought it online and it was cheaper. I went to trademe (an online auction website similar to ebay) and bought it for $399 thats $100 off the retail price, I drove to the north shore then picked up and paid in cash. When I got home everything was there, I set it up, connected to the internet and played wii sports. The only thing is I got no reciept so make sure you ask for one if buying online.

i didnt hav to wait in line or preorder my wii, i just bought it from my local game shop. They just run out of stock once in a while, so they hav to order some from Europe because alot of things come from Europe.

I bought my Wii and Wii play some 4 weeks ago for €285 (which is $450) I had to drive more then 70km and I went to 6 different shops. But it's all worth the effort

Hello guys,
I bought one from a local shop in Bucharest (Romania) and they had plenty of them. It had just one Wii remote (guess this is how it is called the stick with which you play tennis  ) and I bought an extra wii remote to go with it.
The box didnt came with any additional games so i'll ust have to buy some, i guess.
With all it cost almost 300 euro (280 to be sure).
Now the problem is that I bought it for the sports games (especially tennis) and because it is fun to play with my husband and friends (I am looking forward to buy another pair of wii remotes) but as I can see there are plenty of things to do with it so i believe that i'll need some assistance in the appropiate future to learn how to use it as it's full power.
First of all I need to find out what are Mii's...

Finally broke down and got one Sat. (4/26).
My collection:
Kids playroom: Original Nintendo, Playstation1, XBOX (on 25" TV)
Home Theater: Xbox360 (on a 92" (720p)projector screen w/ 7.1 SSR)
Family Room: Wii (on 55" WS HDTV)
So far I just have the Wii Sports and Wii Play. I'm planning game purchases this week and will get some probably next weekend.
