On my previous Wiimote on Windows thread I showed two videos of the Wiimote playing Half Life 2 on a laptop by using the tilt functions of the Wiimote.
http://www.wiichat.com/nintendo-wii-...hlight=windows

Now the WiiLinux team figured out how to use pointer feature with the sensor bar.

Incase you don't know:
1. You do not need the sensor bar plugged in into the wii to work, in fact you can make your own.
2. In the video the sensor bar is below the monitor as you can see little led lights.
3. Currently it doesn't play 1st person shooters very well.
4. And yes, this IS REAL!

You can hook it up to a 9v battery and it will work magically.

Old news and I'm pretty sure they are not using the sensor bar. All they're using is a bluetooth adapter, wiimote, and the windows drivers for the wiimote. And some adjusting.

You can't have the pointer feature without the sensor bar. Before they control the mouse cursor tilting the wiimote up,down, twist left and right. Now they can just point at the screen and the mouse cursor follows it.

Why exactly did you make a new thread for this? You should have just updated your other thread. Which you actually did. And that one is in the right section of the forum.

We all like attention.
