Stop searching, enough Wii's for everyone sooner than you think. This picture is from the Retail Insider, a little instruction that is sent during Christmas time for the shopping week end. 700 per store

There is no way Zellers or anyone else will be getting 700 units, thats pure bullshit. Nintendo can't possibly manufacture that many units, they''ve been giving stores only 5 units sometimes.

Except 1 thing, those units have already been shipped from last week. Stores have to pay a penalty per unit they let go before the actual date, hence why they only had 5-6 units at a time. Some other stores didn't care how much fee it would cost and got out more to sell, as they had the accessories to make enough money to cover for the lost. Nintendo had 4 million units total ready to ship 2 weeks after launch. Nintendo isn't at fault here, the stores are!

Shipments in Montreal
Just came back from EBGames in Complexe Les Ailes de la Mode. They received 9 Wiis, talked to the first (I said first) in line, he got there at 5am. Not bad considering Best Buy and TRU last weekend when the last one to guarantee a Wii got in line at 12am and the first in line got there at like 7pm the day before.
Looks like there are alternatives to the big hit stores that might take you around 4 hours of wait to get your wii, instead of 12.
Just keep calling them stores!
I'm still wiiless btw...

I've given up looking for one until after the new year. hopefully by then, most of the demand will have been met and I won't have to wait 12+ hrs in line to get one.
what has the world come to? it was never like this with atari...
on a positive note, i called EB down the street and they're anticipating a BIG shipment this wednesday. the guy said something like 30+ units and for EB, that is a big number. give your local EB's a call - might be the same nationwide!

If you actually read, or I can get you the first part, it says to hold them till the 17th, but for the shopping period of the 18th to 24th wich could be any day this week. I'll go and get the rest of the article. That article was given to BestBuy by the way.

PS : The 700 seems to have been edited in, but 40 is way more than most store got so far on each shipment.

Hit me up for any shipments coming to Ontario, if I miss this week, it's wait time for me until after New Years.
