any recent word on TRU getting some in on the 20th? the one in vancouver seems to have their phone off the hook....and EB? they had some in this morning apparently, one of them told me they "might" get some tomorrow....hmmmm........

It's been a long and perilous search for the Wii, but yesterday night I came home to a message on my voicemail saying there was a Wii waiting for me at CompuSmart (preorder from November 29th). On the search for a second wiimote though so if I wind any stores with Wii I'll keep you guys updated

Hi I'm new to this thread... I live in Montreal, and I heard that Future Shop was going to get some Wiis this week... But when I called last night at 8h55, they said that they won't get any until after christmas, so I thought to my self: At last a precise answer. But then, this morning when I came at work at 9h00, I called again and the guy told me that they got some this morning and that they're already sold!!! I was soooo pissed!!! (I'm still pissed by the way). I should'nt have listen to what they said to me last night!! I was ready to go at like 7h30 this morning!!!! I was sure to get one!!! DAMN!!

Anyway, I called 4 different Future Shops, and they all told me the same thing, but the las two told me that they're supposed to get some more tomorrow or friday for sure... Now I'm not going to miss my chance and I'll be at the Future Shop entrance tomorrow morning at 7h00...

I hope this is going to help some of you people!!! Don't listen to what the sellers says!!!

I managed to get mine this morning at Wal-Mart. I waited for 2 hours outside EBgames at Unicity in Winnipeg only to find out that while they had received a shipment of PS3's, they apparently were not getting any more Wiis till after Christmas. As to whether that's true or not, your guess is as good as mine. So, I grabbed a nunchuck that had come in because they're rare too and then browsed around the store a bit. The guy that was in line behind me had left and gone over to the nearby Wal-Mart just to check. He came back into the store and told me that they had 3 left so they must've gotten a shipment of 5 or so. I coulda kissed him. I sprinted over there and landed one, as well as a VC controller. I almost fainted.

All I can say is check Wal-Mart around 10am or so. They never seem to have them when they open, but the Purolator truck seems to hit that area around 9:30-10:00am. So,if you're in Winnipeg, give it a try, and good luck!

I scored a wii at EB yesterday morning in Kitchener, Ontario and an extra nunchuck and remote, until we called Microplay. Two different stores had stock and they even held it for us! Give them a call. We heard that they had more accessories than other stores because their head office was running a draw on wiis so the stores weren't receiving them before Christmas.

It's funny, every time some new thing comes along, like a game or a videogame system or whatever, that I want to get badly that I'll call Futureshop or Best Buy or whatever store it is... it continually amazes me how any company can operate these days and not have any clue at all what they've ordered and when it is coming in! Don't these guys have electronic inventory, in this day and age isn't there an electronic trail they can follow from the supplier to the guy stocking the shelves? How can this be?! Isn't it the freaking 21st century, isn't this the freaking digital age?! Sheesh!!!

I live in Nova Scotia an have no clue where to look. Plus there are no stores around where I live so I have to drive to atleast Halifax to get to Zellers/Wal-Mart and EB games and Future Shop.

Calgary Shawnessy Futureshop has 17 Wii's in stock right now, selling them tomorrow at 8am!

I don't think many people know about this shipment though, so i think going around 6am would be fine. Not sure how many Calgarians will actually read this.
