Must be Japanese version of the Wii, which means that the system can't play games that you buy at stores in Canada. I would stay away from that unless you want to plays Zelda in japanese or something....

It was the one in Windsor, but I'm guessing it'll be all the ones in Ontario or Canada.

does everyone really have a Wii in Canada already?

No one seems to be posting any sightings any more. Like any HMV's, Best Buys, Future SHops getting them in any more?

I haven't seen any in Ottawa, Ontario. However, I did manage to order one from Toysrus.ca. I totally lucked out. I check the site everyday and 2 weeks ago it actually had the "Add to cart" button. I couldn't believe it. I clicked on the icon which shows info and in store status and it said out of stock. I thought I had missed it, but clicked back, add to cart, and the order went through. However, it is backordered and I got an email saying it should ship next week. I'm just happy to finally have one coming. I don't know why the online stores don't all accept orders with the understanding that they will ship them when they get them.

The moral, check those websites everyday. You might get lucky.

yea right,i went to a futureshop in toronto and they said they didn't get a shipment for 2 weeks now

^are you serious? Why didn't they get any...I thought they would of already had shipments and the ppl that really wanted one got one already. The demand won't get any lower...BTW we missed a shipment on the 28th for wal mart and a shipment for best buy on the 30th...I just found this out now...check link.

Most shipments near toronto are mostly coming in the weekdays where schools and jobs begin. My mom had to go during work break at zellers to get it. My other friends got from futureshop during thier mom's work breaks to get it. Even though it isn't easy but it's getting easier to get.

Hey - I registered here after searching for shipment info online, and found you guys.

I can confirm the fact that Best Buy had Wii's on the 29th/30th, but I can add something to the discussion.

The employee I spoke with at Best Buy in Oakville yesterday told me that they have them sitting in their warehouses, then release them to stores a little at a time, and allocate a chunk of them for online.

He told me that online, the policy is to release them on the hour. So, last Monday all Best Buys in Ontario had Wii's and put them out at 2:00 PM, and online they were available right at 12:00 PM, not 12:15, not 12:40...always on the hour.

I asked him what my best strategy was to find one, and he said just keep checking random days on the hour (sheesh).

Obviously this doesn't help anyone right now, but understanding Best Buy's release strategy could help. Anyone have any more info on TRU on a week from tomorrow? Is that just for the States or here as well?
