Not necessarily. I've known loads of kids whose parents buy them 18 rated games, so I doubt a higher age rating will affect sales much. In fact, it'll probably sell more.

Well first off, it's Concept Art! This isnt an in game screen shot or anything. If they are going for accurate portreyal of the Japanese underworld, then why shouldnt there be breasts in it? I mean if they acted like 12 year olds making video games and made them huge and bouncing all in your face, thats one thing. But I doubt that is what they would be going for. Honestly, I dont think it should even be an issue. If they want to make it M then go ahead. Hell, even if it was AO that would be fine. As long as it was a great game. I figure that its about time that nudity in video games no longer be looked down upon so much. As long as the rating is appropriate, why the contravoursey? They have nudity in movies, in which a lot is dis-tastefule but a lot still appropriate and accurate for the story so then why not in a game. I figure that there are going to be M rated games for the Wii, why not make some of them good, like Red Steel.

Im for the strip club in the game, I want the game to be true to what it is suposed to be about. This stuff would be part of red steel. Also what is worse stabbing and shooting people or strippers? lol think about it...
I don't really care if it is mature or not, I think it would help nintendo though... Most people that don't like nintendo say it is kiddy... If nintendo had some more games as mature it would be beter for nintendo.

but you also need a credit card for that and you need to be 18 to have one. but you could have you parents buy one online for you. but that would also mean you could have them buy you one offline

I'm kinda glad its geting a higher rating, then the game can explore more darker issues and be a bit more "hardcore" . seeing tits in a game i real have no beef with, (although it is embarissing when people look at your screen and your like"its just part of the game!" )

i agree with the people who said the wii needs more mature games.

Just in reply to Nates "ZOMG this is degrading to teh womenz" have you ever thought that not ever stripper is forced into it by nasty drug lords and pimps? That's like saying "Porn is teh evil it degrades women" when there are many many porn stars who are quite happy with what they're doing.

I for one think it would be a bad idea NOT to have a strip joint in the game I mean come on, you're going through the seedy underworld of the Japanese Yakuza, and it would be completely unrealistic sans naked strippers. I mean really guys, as has been said before what's worse. Guns, stabbings, murders or a stripper in a club...really...

To everyone who is under 18, stop being a whiny bitch, not every game has to have an E rating, you don't have to be able to play every game and if you can't then just suck it up. Ubisoft don't have to pander to your whims.

And guys...really...I can't believe this is all over some game nudity, it's on before the watershed now ¬_¬ it's no big deal.

I must say I'm strongly in agreeance with Napalmbrain and wiiener. I think personally a bit of a sexual element is good in a game. Besides, did any of you arguing fellas stop to think that maybe its there to give further colour to illustrate just what kind of world you are in when you enter the world of red steel? A world of sleaze, debauchery, loose ethics, questionable morals? I wonder did anyone ever think about this?

I would almost be shocked if they didnt include stuff like this in the game. And as for all the pre-pubescent kids wanting mummy to buy them this game - grow up. This game should be rated for mature audiences (I would feel strange if this game didnt have an MA/Restricted rating). Nintendo needs more games like this, and as for the poster who said this is more of a Sony thing, did you even stop to think maybe thats why Sony is so much more successful than Nintendo in the current console gen? because it has more games that appeal to an older audience without having whiney kids complaining about there being a few drops of blood or some flesh shown? Nintendo needs something exclusive to appeal to older audience and not jus to appease the younger fanboys. Stop complaining, dont ruin the games for everyone else. If you can't handle the reality of downtown Neo-Tokyo and its questionable ethics, don't play the game. If you're complaining over a little bit of flesh you'll find ALOT more than that offensive in this game my friend.

In response to Nate's Rant about degradation of women, I've known a couple of strippers who gladly take their clothes off for money and they love the work (I attended class with one back in 2004 and another I met at the absinthe bar I go to, with her boyfriend before anyone gets any suss ideas bout me ). Besides, in what way is stripping any different than being promiscuous, other than getting paid for it? I don't see anyone feeling sorry for all the girls who sleep with anything they get their hands on because they chose to.

Sex is everywhere anyway. Why shouldnt it be part of games? Questioning the presence of sex in games is like questioning the presence of sex anywhere else, including but not limited to: TV, Movies, the Cinema, Literature, and Music. By having a sexual element in games it gives the older audience something in common with the games, as well as those who are sick of the chunky colourful worlds of so many childish titles whose only redeeming quality is "good gameplay". We can't survive on gameplay alone. We need something that we like.
