HUGE THREAD - Wii '07

Okay, so I know there are a lot of these kinds of threads already - the typical games thread with a picture and a list of Wii games coming out in '07. Well, I'm trying to make a bigger, better list. I will try to keep this updated as much as I can, and this thread will include major titles coming out in '07. There will be a lot more once I get updating and everything...

But it's not only going to have games, but other things we can expect in '07 as well. I've been hearing lots of rumors and confirmed things so I'm also creating a list of all that stuff a bit later on.

Wii '07

Games

Wario Ware
WarioWare is a fun, wacky, and crazy game comprised of tons of microgames. The point of the game is to be crazy and fast... that's what makes it fun. WarioWare for the wii utilizes the wiimote to do simple, quick minigames.

Wii Play
Why should you be excited: Basically a wiimote and then a $10 in one package... pretty nice. Wii Play consists of 9 short minigames. Many of them use your Miis.

SSX Blur
A beloved franchise to many makes its way to Wii. Blur will feature a compilation of the best tracks from previous games along with new things along the tracks. There is also a whole new way to do uber tricks.

Mario Party 8
Just when you think they've stopped they keep dishin' em out. Mario Party is back with all new minigames adapting to the controls. Not much is really known about this game except the usual stuff you can expect out of Mario Party games.

Mortal Kombat: Armageddon
Mortal Kombat: Armageddon is the Wii version of the game that has already been released on Xbox and PS2. It even features some new and tweaked features.

No More Heroes
The sequel to the awesome shooter, Killer7 comes to Wii. The game was formally known as 'Heroes'. I'm guessing they might have had to change because of the TV show with the same name.

Oh you mysterious game! This game is being made by Nibris. There is not much known at the time except that it's a spooky/horror game set in early 1900's. Also the game is completely black and white. [This game could quite possibly come in Q1 2008]

Resident Evil makes a debut on Wii after it's very successful run on Gamecube. This game is apparently called 'Resident Evil: Umbrella Chronicles' but I don't believe this is the official name yet.

Rumors / Other Things in '07

Original Games Sold on Wii?

It seems as though, along with VC games, Nintendo will have another channel to sell original games according to Hudson Entertainment.

"Nintendo has developed a programming system that will allow small independent developers to make games for Wii download service.

"We cannot confirm at this time in what format the new content will be delivered, but in the future there will be original games available for download through the Wii Shop."

New Colors, New Price?
Many people were upset when Nintendo announced that only the white version was going to be out at launch. The black version really appealed to many, including me. Now rumors are starting that Nintendo will send out brand new colors... and maybe a lower price tag. How does $200 sound?

Mario Kart 64 is coming to VC on Monday for US and it's already out in UK and Australia.

I don't know if you know this but JRARE makes James Bond games which was bought by Microsoft so they no longer have really any games for Nintendo, leaving James Bond pretty much out of the question. But we might get Goldeneye on VC.

What is Disaster: Day of Crisis about??? Because the image above the video looks like it's a shooter but then the video shows a big wave and shooting a big wave doesn't seem very realistic or sensible....

It is a shooter/survival game. It consists of many natural disasters all happening in one day.

Mario Kart will probably come to Wii. Now don't quote me on this, but I think there has been a Mario Kart for every Nintendo console since SNES, but I could be wrong.

Awesome, there are at least 13 impressive looking Wii games coming.
The top of that list including SSX Blur, No More Heroes, Super Smash Bros. Brawl, Medal of Honor: Vanguard, Battalion Wars 2, Disaster: Day of Crisis, Mortal Kombat: Armageddon, and Sadness.

Wow and thats not including Super Papaer Mario, Fire Emblem or Dragon Quest. Not to mention a New Naruto game will be coming out for the Wii this Fall. Plus Donkey Kong Racing is suppose to be out and the new Kirby game is rumored to come out at the end of this year.

No More Heroes has dirty looking dreamcast graphics.
Sadness has a pretty cool trailer, but I'm not sold on it being good at all.
Super Mario Galaxy looks awesome, better than any 360 game.
