yep. marth is fast, his attacks are fast, and his forward A smash attack even cover the top and back of him, and his counter is way longer than roy's, so he has more time to try to get a counter in

you forgot to mention his long sword, it can easily swipe someone trying to recover onto the platform, it has about the same length as DKs attack, but such a faster attack speed.
