ok, so I'm not that far into RE4 (work, baby, repeat) and I'm kind of stuck here:
- in the castle after taking down the blind slasher, the big room with lots and lots of cult crazies

I can manage to start the crank but I have zero ammo at this point. Any tips/tricks to minimize ammo usage in this area? Somehow use the knife in this area? For the first 'wave' in the open area and then the second wave once I leave the room with the two platforms? Argh. Oh I have the following:
blacktail
riot gun
rifle (semi-auto)
1 incendiary grenade
1 hand grenade (after clearing the first wave)
some ammo...forgot exactly how much but it's not a lot I guess

well, you should've used ur incendiary on the slasher.if not, if you can somehow get all the cult ppl in a group, then grenade them.

Also you made your first mistake using the blacktail and not the re9 you are obviously low on ammo because you should have been popping heads off with the red9...

My method Shoot head kick, slash on ground, probally why I have over 75 handgun bullets now...

gnahc79 I am in the exact same place as you and have the exact same problem, have used near enough all of my ammo so not expecting to get too much further on!! Was thinking about going back a couple of load slots and replaying as like you, I took down the blind creature but not with a grenade. Let me know what you do won't you.
Wario, was it you that said a while ago that Umbrella Chronicles is going to be different, will be a rail game, scuse my ignorance but what is a rail game? Have a feeling I'm gonna look a total prat for asking that question

. Btw, I never got the red9, I just went from handgun->Punisher->blacktail.

I think I need to replay the sword rooms portion of the castle (where you swap swords). There's probably a better way to get rid of the crazies there.

a rail game is when the computer moves you around, all u have to do is shoot.

Thanks Chips, don't think I've come across any those, how do you think they compare. Posted a reply to you the other day but it doesn't seem to have made it to boards, you said I would be able to make a sig using photo shop. Is it difficult, bearing in mind I'm not brilliant at using it!!!
As far as ammo for this game is concerned, think I'm gonna have to go back and replay some, I made the same mistake and went for the blacktail and you obviously think the Red9 is better. Think I also fell into trap of shooting when I should have been slashing!!!
