Getting 5 stars 20 times is going to be quite a tall order. I hope that hand cannon is worth it.

I've got tons o'cash in the normal game replay after going through it once and a half times with the typewriter. Over a million banked, I think. That should be enough to outfit it, right?

Anyway, I'm more worried about getting those 20 5 star rankings. Well, 19, I guess - I did get one for Leon in the Village. I guess what I'd better do is try to do each location 5 times in a row with different characters as opposed to taking each character 4 times in a row in different locations or just randomly go after different locations with different characters, don't you think?

I suppose what'll happen is that I'll get frustrated with a particular character in a particular location and just go off course until I have to circle back to get that one.

2. practices using the character and try finding spots to create big combos and always get blue hourglass first and save the golden one for later

It seems like the big combos are going to be created in similar places within each location, right? That's why I'm thinking that getting familiar with the location would be more helpful per se than knowing the capability of the character, but then again, I suppose to really get 5 stars you're going to need both.

The other key point, it seems to me, is knowing how to deal with the mini-bosses within each location. Krauser makes it pretty easy, but with Hunk or Ada it's definitely tougher because you don't have the big firepower. I've found that getting those chainsaw guys out of the way makes life much easier afterwards, but it's not always easy figuring out how to do that.

By "golden ones" you mean the ones in the treasure chests right?

I just don't think I am ever gonna be good enough to get five stars with all characters on all stages, I am particularly bad at the castle. Btw just how many do you need for five star, I just got 52000 with Hunk in the village and still only got 4 stars for that. Better than the one star I was getting tho!!!!

I'm thinking that once you get the pattern of how to handle a certain location, you should be able to do the same basic things with any character. The only main difference should be how to handle the mini-bosses. But then again maybe I'm just another misguided noob.

I've got a long way to go. Bought the game on Saturday and am just now on 3-1. At this rate, I should be done by Christmas (hopefully). It's okay though, I'm not a huge gamer and I'm just having fun with it.

Yeeeeeeeeeeeesssssssssss I did it, took the advice, managed to get over thirty thousand in the castle with Wesker and it did unlock Krauser.
Then used Krauser and got my first ever five star in the village.... oh happy days.

Now for the other nineteen five stars...gulp
