So then what's the best shotgun in the game? And what is the Broken Butterfly and why would I get it if I already have a good handgun, rifle and shotgun?
I was just thinking that if I had a good handgun, long range gun and a shotgun that I wouldn't need anything else...
The Broken Butterfly is NOT a shotgun! But it is a very good gun that you should invest in.

Don't buy the Butterfly, Leve, wait til you find it. And it's not a shotgun, it's a revolver pistol, and a very powerful one.

I have the broken butterfly, and the punisher which is an upgraded handgun. The best shotgun is the Striker by far..
BTW, like Axtlar said, don't buy the Broken butterfly, wait until you find it.

This is so confusing, if I've already got a [good] handgun, why would I want to BUY a pistol!?
EDIT: I was told not to buy the Riot Gun and to scrap the Punisher for the Red9.
It really depends on what you want. I have a punisher, tmp, Striker, broken butterfly, semi auto rifle, and the mine thrower.
The Red 9 is good but I decided not to get it. Just buy whatever suits you.

And I sold the handgun and stayed with the shotgun, rifle and TMP, and then I found the Butterfly. So if you wanna stay with your handgun definetely don't buy the Butterfly, just wait until you come acorss it.

--------Broken Butterfly-----------
Weapon Type: Magnum
Cost: 38000 PTAs
Description: Even without upgrading it, the Broken Butterfly is an extremely
powerful gun which packs quite a punch with each bullet. It's
excellent for dispatching tough enemies quickly and useful in
hurting the bosses. The supply of bullets for this gun is rare,
so use your shots sparingly and only when the extra firepower is
necessary.
Exclusive Upgrade: Firepower increases to 50.0 (150000 PTAs).
Cost: 20000 PTAs (or free if you shoot 10 blue medallions)
Description: This is the upgraded Handgun you get from the Merchant after
shooting down 10 of those blue medallions. Come to think of it,
it really isn't that much different from your original Handgun
anyway, except for its slightly lower reload speed and higher
maximum ammo per clip. However, this particular handgun has the
power to cut through two enemies despite its lower firepower, so
it's really up to you as far as keeping/upgrading this one goes.
Exclusive Upgrade: When you shoot, the bullets can cut through up to 5
enemies in one shot (40000 PTAs).
Description: A step-up from the original Handgun. It is absolutely an
improvement from the original, so if you can buy it, definitely
do so and sell your original Handgun right away! The Punisher
isn't all that great, so you can keep this upgraded gun for a
while, at least until the Blacktail comes along.
Exclusive Upgrade: Firepower increases to 6.5 (80000 PTAs).

Hey, I've got some dirty jewelry and I was wondering if I should get rid of it or if you can somehow clean it later in the game? I know, I know, I could have stopped it from getting dirty. I know that now, I didn't back then.
