Youve to subscribe on a game by game basis which is either typical Nintendo stupidness or another reason to believe they are talking about MMOs. I really dont see how we could have MMos on a system with no Hard Drive. Theyve given us no reason to suspect a hard drive because when they are asked about it they always give a firm no but then again they were always adamant about free online play.

I heard that its not actually making you pay for the game itself, its just for extra stuff, eg. new songs for GH.

mario kart wii WON'T use this, the box art has already been shown with the blue logo

and as a defence to xbox live, this service is only for certain games, not to play, so if you do get sick of a game that uses this, you can go back to free brawl or mario kart

Yeah, I agree with mushroomedmario on this one. Brawl and Mario Kart will probably be free. But still, I'm beginning to love my PS3 even more.

Meh, I don't really play the Wii for online play - that's what my Xbox 360 is for.

If Nintendo does adopt a P2P online service, they better have a good service to back up the price of admisison. And as of right now, unfortunately, it is not looking too good.

Knock the FCs and CRAPPY ASS SERVERS and I still won't pay. Its got to be "innovative" you know "revolutionary" before I pay. Look I wouldn't have a Wii if I didn't think it was gonna be revolutionary and its Nintendo because I think its pretty unimpressive, but seriously online is not their forte and they seem too interested in it. They should back off.

JUST DON'T MAKE AC ONLINE! Or any other first party games for that matter and I'll shut up.

they should do wat xbox does if there is voicechat/texting sell a packaging thing that has a headset and keyboard.

i guess i won't mind paying kuz my mom owes me some sort of an allowance. plus i quit playing runescape and can cancel my membership on that.

Well im pretty certain that animal crossing for the wii has been announced as an MMO so i think you are wrong. Of course i may be wrong but i am pretty sure i am not.

as for brawl it will for sure be free because it is coming out way be for this takes place it comes in just a matter of weeks so we have nothing to worry about. Same goes for Mario Kart it comes out soon in Europe and it will be before this takes place.

I dont really see this as a bad thing just yet. We have no details on why they are doing this and what it will change... for all we know they could be fixing everything we have hated or rather some have hated about their online gaming. So i say give them time before you hate them for this...

Also, Why play online when your friends can play with you. I know you cant have people over all the time but i think we all know its more fun to play with your friends in the room with you. Online gaming should just be for those friends you have that live far away because of a move or something and down time if you get bored with single player action and cant have anyone over.
