I am new to the Wii so I don't know about any of the party games. But my nephew wanted eight and he seemed to like it ok. I just couldn't do it LOL!! There's just other games I am better at and that I like better.. There is several games I haven't even played yet.

i liked the game myself. alot of the mario partys date back so far its hard to remember which one is the best but 8 was good

has anyone played mario party DS? it's awful

^Mario Party DS was not awful. It's probably higher rated than the last 4 mp's. I think expotv is aimed more for parents so mario party 8 would get a high score

im a member of expotv and am 21...so not necessarily just aimed at parents. their video games category is one of their biggest categories and most of the reviews are by younger people since the older adults dont generally play videos games

Some of the minigames are good fun but it is a real dissapointment. MP 5 was probably the best and as most would say from then on it gets worse and worse

which is a sad thing because I really like Mario Party

I bought Mario Party 8 not knowing what I was getting into, the game is short and with no replay value. Before this I played mario party 1,2 and 3 which was better on project64 emulator.

i love mario party 8. it has excellent replay value, since every time i play, the game is different. i play alot solo too, i enjoy it with or without friends over. i still have things to unlock in it. those trophys that move in the parade. i only have half of them so far. every now and then i play a solo game for tickets so i can unlock things. well worth the money imo.

Mario Party 1 is the most played between my friends and I (stupid Pedal Power). Mario Party 3 is the next best.

On the Gamecube, Mario Party 5 is the better one. The only mini-game that I love on Mario Party 4 was Dungeon Duos.

Mario Party 8 just sucked. But then again, I'm a sucker for the series...
