For PES I would agree that the game is pretty good without online play, but for SSBB, Mario Kart, Mario Soccer, etc. these are 100% multiplayer games. Which is actually kind of funny- PES is a 3rd party Konami game and is great without ever going online. Nintendo, which invented (er, vomited) friend codes, is the one making games that can really only be fully enjoyed with playing with others. It really can't be said enough just how much Nintendo has dropped the ball here.

You might have to make one, but it should be easier for you. Today I FINALLY got "free play" mode to work- I think I was having signal trouble and resolved it by changing my router to channel 6 from 1 (my other router uses 11). Anyway, I played two games, and I had SOOOO much fun, but it also makes me realize how TERRIBLE this whole friend code thing is. Both games were draws, the first 0-0 the second 2-2. In the second game "he" pulled ahead 2-1 right at the beginning of stoppage time, but I took it down the field with just two guys and scored the final equalizer. It was such an amazing game, I'd really like a rematch....but obviously thanks to the Wii online system I'll never get one.
