I hadn't received anything from Activision relating to getting a replacement disk, so I went to their webpage and entered my info. It came back that my info was not found!!!! This annoyed me since I registered the game as soon I bought it and for the replacement as soon as they allowed us to do so.
So, I called the non-800 number (crappy company) and spent 45 minutes on hold!!!! I finally got through to someone (at least they natively spoke english) and they said they'd send out a pre-paid mailer for me to send the old disk back.
Stupid me didn't think to ask "Am I being sent a replacement disk too?".
Well, the answer to that is NO. Activision's answer to fixing their messed up disk is to make me send my only copy to them and WAIT FOR 3-4 WEEKS FOR A REPLACEMENT!!!!
Talk about total BS. First the lost my registration and now I'm expected to wait 3-4 weeks while my daughter can't play the game?
Anyone else go through this process? Anyone get a cross-ship disk instead of having to wait for a replacement? Anyone got a better idea than waiting that long?
