Yeah.. Star power? 
Did this early today, managed to get a star power whilst second.. Past the first guy... BLue shell came incoming.. Star power.. Shell landed and no effect but if others are around you the blast radius still gets them of cause hehe.
I also managed to miss a Blue shell on I think an N64 course, where a speed boost, boost-shoot you over a river? and you have after you land, and theres a huge boat?
Anyway the blue shell was inc at the time I was flying and yep, It misses me!
