Is it just me in feeling the only great Wii exclusives have been Wii sports, which was basically a techinical demonstration and now Mario Kart?

Haven't played Brawl yet as I'm in the UK, and can't say I've played No More Heroes, but I don't think that looked in the truly great league.

Red Steel's Control issues made it terrible, Mario Party 8 was worse than most of the previous ones, and in my personal opinion Twilight Princess had none of the emotion of previous Zelda games. Even Mario Galaxy feels like a graphically better, but gameplay wise poorer cousin of Mario 64.

I love the Wii, it's potential is amazing, but with Nintendo rumoured to have a new console ready to go in 2010, is it ever going to get a chance to realise it?

Even if you say all the games here are great, that's 8 games amongst a load of rubbish and third party budget titles!

sure wii had crap 3rd party but now they are improving with titles like deadly creatures, prizefighter, de blob, battle of the bands, sadness, monster hunter 3 to name a few. also u forget about old nintendo franchises like starfox, f zero, kirby, mother(who are we kidding) etc. also the new sonic game looks awesome. if u didnt like zelda, mario games for wii than i am sorry for u.

Have you played Metroid Prime 3: Corruption? It's a first party FPS worth buying. It uses the Wii Remotes potential very well.

I agree in some ways. I mean Zelda was a good game, I think better than what your saying. I did feel still that would have to come up as a great with the depth and detail into how much you could explore. Mario Galaxy is great in mine and alot of other peoples opinions, it has the depth, the graphics, the gameplay and the story. I wouldn't even think about No More Heroes as a greatest game so I don't have a comment about it. Metroid is another game that has been amazing for the Wii, but it was a big let down when it was revelaed it didn't have online play. Mario Kart is just ****ing awesome! and that's all I can say. Wii sports is brilliant like you said but again (like you said) is really something to show the controls of the Wii. Wii Fit will be another in my opinion to go down into the greatest list. Like you I haven't played Brawl but I've heard amazing things about it. The Wii has only been out for 1 1/2 years not even that yet so 6 games I count in that time of excellent quality I can't really argue with. But I would like to see more. Overall the Wii is still the best console out there and is the only console that constantly keeps me busy, and before anyone mentions 360 or PS3 we have both and they are both very good but nowhere near as much fun.

SMG, TP, MP3, MKwii, SSBB, Wii sports, I'd say.

If you don't like Mario Galaxy, you either don't like platform gaming, or should be smacked in the face.

That's the most flawlessly designed game I've played in years.

I'm going to have to agree with the first post in saying Mario Galaxy.

It's a good game, don't get me wrong, but Mario 64 and Sunshine were both WORLDS more enjoyable, in my opinion. I don't like the gravity gimmick.

It's not that I didn't enjoy Mario and Zelda, it's just they should have been the best ever in their franchises, and Galaxy is no way better than Mario 64 and Zelda isn't in the same league as Ocarina or even Wind Waker.

And agreed, this Mario Kart may have even better the SNES one, which I didn't think possible.

And Vishi, we don't know that any of them games are going to be any good.
Sadness has massive potential but it's much like Spore in that it could go horribly wrong.

As for Kirby and Starfox, both franchises have had good games, but not great. Both have always been way too simple to complete.

And Monster Hunter 3? They've been pretty average to this point, no reason that's gonna change, although WiFi should improve it.

Your not alone, Sakurai the creator of Brawl feels the same way. A new IP is rumored to be on the way though and knowing what Nintendo has created as of late I am excited.

However I loved Galaxy, Metroid Prime 3, Twilight Princess, and Brawl. I don't really have a reason to complain although 3rd Party Support can be better.

I think Red Steels good because of its faults! Almost like you have to take in to account the poor controls to make them work for you!

Could become a cult classic. Still full price in stores too.

Indeed. Sunshine was awesome, and 64 was groundbreaking. Galaxy is....ok.

What's with the Mario Galaxy hating? It's like, the best one yet. It certainly improved over Mario 64 much better than Sunshine tried.
