This video shows you why the Wii version looks better than the PS2 version of Okami. Even though the parchment filter is toned-down on Wii, everything else looks cleaner and much more vibrant partially do to 16:9 & 480p but also because of the different code/GPU.

Of course this may just be the color-settings like RGB on PS2. Not sure, but I Progressive-scan and 16:9 is always a plus for LCD HDTV owners.

On a SDTV it does not really matter.

Meh. It's gameplay improvements that matter when porting a game, and Okami Wii does not have anything new to add (don't let that stop you buying it if you don't have the PS2 version though).

According to IGN, the Wiimote brush control adds a lot to the gameplay and they say that it is the definitive version.

I just bought Okami anyway as i never played the PS2 version.

I think the PS2 version looks better (In before shitstorm)
Why
The faded way it looks suits the game
The games not ment to look realistic with hard edges
The game is ment to look like a paintin not some Zelda clone (ok it is more or less a Zelda clone)
With the wiimote used as a brush it will make things easyer (thats if you have a steady hand)
But I wont be buyin the Wii version as I allready have it on the PS2

From the video i prefer the Wii version, the PS2 one looks a bit too washed out.

Having played the Wii version for a couple of hours now i have to say it really is a beautifull game and anyone who dosen't already own it should buy it.

i've been debating over getting this game, and i was wondering if anyone knew about how long the game takes to complete?

the game looks great and all, but when i buy a single player game, it's gotta be worth the money in quality and game time.

ah, that's great to hear.

i love zelda games, and i'm hoping okami will help to (partially) fill the gap between TP and the next zelda installment.

pretty graphics + long gameplay + innovative use of wiimote = def picking this up with mario kart next week.

I like the way the ps2 version looks, it's much more appealing to me.
