Just finished reading the review. It's looking very promising since they said the online play was better than the single-player mode. That was a big shocker for me.

No, I think it tackled all the problems it had with the snaking issue and stuff. The gameplay's amazing, and the only thing that really let it down was the graphics, and they're not even then horrifying to look at. Increasing the difficulty's great too.
I still want more tracks though.

It's interesting to see what they like and don't like about the game.
They both agree about the 150cc being too cheap (Item balancing was bad enough in Mario Kart DS and other balancing in games is quite annoying).
Matt also mentioned how the wheel is pretty much useless.
And they all mention how the online succeeds pretty nicely.
Again, I'm holding positive judgment until I play it.
And I'm still disappointed over the battle mode.
