people can bash MK all they want, cuz it's opinion. I personally think Street Fighter is WAAAAY overrated and not that great myself, but still am looking forward to SF4. I like all fighting games, and definitely love MK and think every one of them has been super fun and actually own every one of them. I am DYING to play this game when it comes.

The same thing happened to arcade beat em ups, shoot em ups, you name it!
it's even happening to epic as we speak.... space marines are out and real marines are in just look at COD4 walk all over every thing. Yeah HALO was big but it was pushed aside like the avg game it is once COD4 came out. UT3 got hardly any love at all on the PC and the PS3 I don't think epic has the balls to put it on the xbox 360. With stuff like project offset getting funding and bought up by intel things are going to get real ugly for these guys.

I mean The so called hardcore have a right to be mad some times because really good game styles are forgotten and even looked down upon by current gamers. This will happen to the FPS believe me... it will be replace by FP-perspective... give it time believe me it's coming.

mortal combat has struggled every since 3d came on to the scene and already SF4 seems to play better than that preview they showed with blocks and parries all around. I mean if I want to get knocked thur a wall and beat up by batman while I fall when I know that my character can double and disappear I'll get this game. For batman to stand a chance with these fighters he would have to hide. I mean how many bat-a-rangs do you think he has on his belt? Those are some small pockets man. It would makes sense for this to be some form of shape shifters that found the comics...LOL Now that would be cool yet off putting to the whole batman universe sadly.

Arcade Beat 'em ups and shoot 'em ups aren't dead.

The Warriors was a good beat 'em up.
Alien Hominid is a great side scroller.
And Ikaruga is self explanatory.

My question is how bad will this game be? There are NO fatalities in this game! It's T-Rated! Yes, the censors have won, they finally destroyed one of the oldest M-Rated franchises. I'm beyond disgusted to see this happen. If games like MK never existed, we'd be playing FFX-2 all the time.

Ever since I saw the so called rumor of Mortal Kombat VS DC Comics, I was skeptical but I knew that there was some credence to it. Some of you may remember a little game called Batman Forever for SNES. It used a modfied Mortal Kombat fighting mechanic complete with similar special moves and the patented MK uppercut. Akklaim, which was behind this game was also behind MK2. I think Boon and Tobias are just doing MK for kicks since MK2.

There was one crossover concept that sounded stupid too.
