I am assuming it's because people own a Wii and NOT a PS3 or 360. They aren't exactly the cheapest things to buy now, are they?

Epic doesn't like the Wii, get over it. They view it as the "Pick up and play, then leave to collect dust" system (and for a lot of people it is, so they have good reason to).
Either way, this game is going to suck. Only 20 characters? Mortal Kombat Armageddon (A game that's on the Wii) has 40+ characters from the MK universe alone. They're going to make additional characters available via downloadable content, but that's just another way to rip people off. "Let's charge 60 bucks for the game, and more money for characters that should have been there in the first place!"

Mortal Kombat vs. DC looks pretty bad anyway so it not being on Wii is no real loss.

Ok, this is a joke. Epic is never gonna port and a good thing too, cuz the Wii just can't take it. And they're totally right about wiggling, cuz that's exactly what it is. F-ing stupid, has nothing to do with what happens in the game, and is entirely pointless.

Unreal Engine 3 can not be downscaled to the Wii's tech specs, period.

Epic has for many years now been about pushing the technology to the limits graphic and gameplay-wise. They are a business, and they aren't just about making great games, they are about making a great, next gen gaming engine to license as well.

All they are saying is that it is not in their business plan to drop back to the U Engine 2 and develop "last" gen games. It's totally against what they've been doing for years.

If a 3rd party developer want's to license their engine and downscale it to make games for Wii, they will be more than happy to let that happen, but making games is only a small part of what Epic makes it's money on right now, and it would be a bad business decision to devote those efforts to making games on old technology.

And for the record, Epic makes great games. The UT Franchise, Gears...damn, you people take everything so personally. The technical limitations of the Wii were well known long before it's release and we all still bought one. As time passes, the Wii's tech doesn't advance with it, guys. I love my Wii, but this is why I have a 360, too. I love both. My Wii gets more mileage than my 360 these days, but that doesn't mean I'd want to choose one over the other.

And for the record, I don't give a flying flip about the MK series anymore and won't be buying it on ANY platform, but that has nothing to do with Epic and EVERYTHING to do with the fact the posters here are correct. MK has been stale as hell since AT LEAST MK3 if not MK2.

When was the last good Mortal Kombat game and for that matter, when was the last good dc game. Even if this game were to come to the wii, I would not even think of buying it.

you can complain about EPIC not taking care of the wii but someone mentioned the PC version of UT3. i just went back to the forums of the guys i used to play UT3 with. they gave up on the game because its been so constantly screwed up. they were talking about the UT3 patch 1.3 on june 2nd! now i see a thread about patch 1.3 beta 5! LOL! now i ask you...you can whine about EPIC not making games for wii but is that the kinda shit you really want from EPIC? i dont think so. as far as im concerned the unreal engine is just talk.

Hmm...last MK game I had was one. On the Genesis.

Rented 2 and 3, they were okay...

But I'm definitely getting this via 360 due mostly for the comic geek that slumbers within me. Mmmmhmm.

But yeah, is it mostly that Unreal 3 can't run on Wii, or that Epic refuses to modify the engine to function somewhat on the Wii? I'm confuzzled.

The last good MK game imo is II.

I know of no DC games, therefore I can't answer that second question.

Everyone keeps saying Mortal Kombat is such a horrible game. I completely disagree with that statement. Mortal Kombat is one of the best one on one fighters I've ever played personally. I think it's a huge loss for this game not to come to the Wii but at the same time, it does sound kind of corny to combine Mortal Kombat characters and DC characters because they just do not fit. Then again, look at Super Smash Brothers Brawl.

well this is my first reply. I totally agree. You guys are killing us. We have little to nothing left to stand for. Why are u ppl try so hard to kill the wii. Come on! the wii has so much potential it's not even funny. If you had a game like gears of war on the wii.........That would be it. It would be so eXtreme. If anything y not lower the graphics like you do for most of your games and get real. Cuz in a few yrs, you guys will have nothing but old ppl and bored parents as your only customers*.If it wasn't for the NINTENDO in front of the wii no one would even look this console. plz cut the crap and start giving us some real games.
