Honestly, I think that's a fairer score. Yeah, it's fun and well worth buying, but the graphics are Gamecube-quality at best, the music is instantly forgettable, and the weapons are so over-powered that winning takes just as much luck as it does skill.

Well, they gave it a 7.9. Then again, it doesn't really matter as no one takes Australians seriously anyway.
Really? Why not? WHat's different between us and the rest of the world? Might I reming you that Edge Magazine UK and Game gave it a 6 out of 10 or 60 out of 100.
Also, this seems like a quality title and alot of fun. So, I'm getting it regardless.

I don't deny you don't need any skill (otherwise no one would have a score much bigger than 5000), but it's a bit ridiculous when you've driven perfectly the whole race only to lose at the last corner thanks to the auto-targetting, unblockable blue shell of death.

I recommend a freeloader, smartest thing I've done for a while.
You heard what he said. You lot, go out and buy Freeloaders now, and stick it to Nintendo's PAL-hating policies.
Mind you, if there's one thing I like about Mario Kart, it's that Nintendo actually gave a crap about PAL for once (it doesn't balance Brawl and everything else, but still).

Thats what the IGN team originally was going to give the game. I will be getting the game on Sunday so I can't go into detail of my own experiences with the game, but it looks impressive and quite fun.
