Hi guys,

Im getting frustruated while playing PES 2008. The problem is it is very hard to get a player to get a loose ball. For example when i make a pass and the ball is deflected (hit the opponent's leg), the ball roll loose and I some players nearby just watching it.

is there any solution for this? Thanks

I had problems with this too. Select and drag a player towards the loose ball then press Z to take control of the ball when the player reaches it. Like pressing Z to intercept a pass.

This bug literally bugs me alot.It has caused me to concede quite a few times during important matches. The only solution I have found is to drag the nearest player along the ball's path, hopefully taking possession of the ball.

hm, im not sure if this is a bug since it is actually happen when you play in playstation or PC. it seems like the logic is one active person bind to the ball so if the ball gets loose, only the active person can pick it up (whereas other players will totally ignore the ball).

I think you can drag your nearest player and perform sliding tackle but again sometimes it becomes stupid cause theres a chance you slide it into wrong direction (my opponent got penalty cause when i slide the loose ball, i accidently slide on the opponent's player as well)

as for dragging the nearest player along the ball's path sometimes doesnt work as well as you thought. Many times I ended up walking through the ball without getting the ball in the end and it is not a good especially when you are defending (you waste a player running for nothing)

Wh15ky said something about pressing Z which actually a very good idea but i havent got a chance to try it.
