Mario Kart Online question

when you connect online, you have a rating of how well you have been doing I heard. can you view other peoples ratings, (like a ladder to see where you rank at overall in the world).

also, when you play online, do you just connect to any random people waiting to play, or do you get placed in brackets of your rankings, and you race against ONLY other people close to your ranking?

No, you can't see a ladder of others rankings. Also, I don't think you are placed in brackets (from experience). I've been in races with people ranging from 4000-8000 points.

I've been in races where some people have almost 4000 points less than I do, so no, I don't think the game puts you into different skill levels.

That's very unfortunate. The reviews seemed to state that there was a matchmaking service based on rankings. It seems like it would be easy to implement and a no-brainer to do so.
