The add on disc (which is probably a complete game by itself) is just a way for Whoremonix to slap Wii owners in the face.

Basically the disc says:

But even better, it lets us continue to be lazy, and do as little work as possible while shafting you (the consumer), and making you dish out money for just a few songs you want, and a bunch you don't want.

You know... I have played the PS2 version & XBOX 360 version.

XBOX 360 by far has a bit cleaner look (graphics for obvious reasons). The Character creation is cool (but annoying, cause it really doesn't allow you to CREATE much, just change a few things here and there)... I can do without that... The DLC, well that is a BUMMER it isn't for the Wii version, BUT, we get a $30 disc we can buy with 20 more tracks... That doesn't bug me any...

At the end of the day, GAME PLAY IS THE SAME as far as I can tell...

BUT... The TOUR MODE... Dam, I will miss that not being on the Wii, but then again, there are SO MANY venues and msytery song sets and you end up possibly playing the SAME SONG like 3-4 times in one solid evening of playing with your friends (has happened to us nermous times).... But I do like when they have "Bass Legend Set" or "58 Song Marathon" --- Who has time for that? lol

Anyways, I will get the Wii version just because I don't own a 360/PS3 and do not plan on buying one

Where do you expect them to store the downloadable songs? I'll cut them some slack in that regard since they're at Nintendo's mercy when it comes to that, but there's no excuse for leaving out the other features.

Screw Nintendo. Someone has to blink in this ridiculous game of storage-chicken between Nintendo and the developers.

Just start storing data to the internal 512MB. Then once it starts filling up and users complain en masse, all fingers point squarely at Nintendo and maybe then they'll get off their arse and solve the problem in any of the trivial ways available to them.

I'm pretty sure the day this happens, they will send out some kind of update to allow the use of SD Cards for storage... Maybe I have too much faith? LOL

That's my point: get developers to force Nintendo's hand on this. Everyone is wussing out waiting for the other to move first. End users suffer.

The Wii is a firmware update and SD/SDHC card away from having all of its storage and downloadable-content issues solved.

I wonder. Would developers beable to actually "package" games with SD cards which need to also be inserted to play? Or did Nintendo do a "Big Brother" on them and won't let them? LOL

What would be the point? Any included content would (and should) be on the optical disc.

The SD card is for later downloadable content, or for things that change (save games, patches).

Nintendo has already blinked (or at least their eyelids are twitching). I think this was being discussed in another thread, but they have recently hinted at some sort of enhanced storage solution. http://kotaku.com/386265/iwata-answe...public-ds-play

Watched the video, Teh FAIL!!!

He says the Guitar will be wireless, through a USB receiver dongle though. LAME
The most likely indicates complete incompatibility with the GH controller. FAIL
He confirms the No Online & No DLC. FAIL
He says the Wii has lots of interesting features, but the says they won't support any of them. FAIL

Do they really expect people to get excited about this castrated piece of shit?

Actually, that is how Rock band is on all the systems.

And it's 100x better than buying a plastic shell and then putting a $40 remote into it on Wii.

Rock band guitars are $60 & wireless via dongle.
GHIII guitars are $110(69 retail + 40 remote)

The only thing I don't like about this is that Rock Band has no online play and GH3 does.

Thats not at all how it is on the other systems.
My 360 GH guitar works with BOTH GH & Rock Band. PS3 is probably the same. And NO USB wireless dongle is required to use the 360 Wireless Guitar. It uses the systems built in Wireless feature. Why couldn't the incompetents at Whoremonix have done this for the Wii? FAIL
They are only out to make $$$ off this version, thats why.
If they cared even a little bit, they would have done some real development work for the Wii version, and not just a crappy port of the worthless ps2 version with just a couple extra songs.

Having them REQUIRE a USB hub just to play the game (& making a mess of wires) is 100x better?

Ummm, In the dictionary I use, thats called WORSE!

Now, had they done anything in a competent or decent manner, they would have equipped the Guitar (& Mic & Drums) with Bluetooth, just like the Wii-motes. The Wii system would just see 'em as another Wii-mote.
Wait... that would require a brain & some real effort... Whoremonix is incapable of that, as shown by the crappy, worthless ps2 version they are just porting over for the Wii. FAIL

Hell, Craptivision should have just done that.
Now, they are just OVER charging people the $60 (or $70) for the Wii Guitars, trying to help make up the money they are losing after being forced to re-make the Wii Game in Stereo/Surround. FAIL

And are you really complaining that you would have to put your wii-mote into a guitar? If they had done it this way, you could have used your (probably) already owned GH:3 Guitar as a 2nd Guitar with Rock Band. Now they are probably going to be FORCING you to buy their special custom wireless guitar (if you want a 2nd guitar player), that will only work with their game.FAIL

Of course you think this is 100x better, right?
